How do you find Optimus Prime vs Megatron multiplayer matches go? In my experience, I have only played as Megatron against Optimus Prime in multiplayer what I have personally found is that more often than not, a good Optimus player is better than a good Megatron player and I can't quite put my finger on why this is the case.
This is really interesting actually, because the general consensus is that Megatron/Starscream are the best characters simply because they can fly away quickly to regain health. While this is true, if they can’t outgun the enemy player, it’s pretty useless and they’ll be stuck in a loop of being outplayed and having to run away. I think Optimus MIGHT actually be alone in S-tier as the best character in the game despite not being a flier, due to his sheer damage output, his secondary fire especially. I think the reason a good Optimus beats out a good Megatron is because of those homing missiles he’s got as a secondary. While Megatron’s firepower might be technically stronger, those purple bombs come out really slowly, and are so easy to dodge. It’s also difficult to hit long range targets, let alone airborne/jumping ones. Optimus doesn’t have this issue. Megatron melts down enemy players at close range but Optimus’ kit is so tanky, that a good player won’t let a Megatron get too close. Even if they do, Optimus’ melee is on par with Megatron’s, so he can still go toe to toe in a straight up fist fight. His other option is to create more space between him and the Megatron with his homing missiles again. Good Megatron players will have to be really careful with Optimus because he’s not as easy to melt as the other characters, and if he’s got you at long range, he’s got a massive advantage as your secondary fire is basically completely shut down. I wish this game was Wi-Fi compatible so we could test all of this in real lobbies. I said last time I streamed that I’d love to team up with some people who do game development and do a fan-remake of this game! It has potential to be pretty deep if handled right
@ Thanks for the reply. I don’t know if you have experienced this, but one thing that I suspect is that a good Starscream player has a better chance than a good Megatron player at defeating a good Optimus player.
@@YousufKhanPR I think Starscream in some situations is actually just better than Megatron. Starscream's secondary fire, while having a weaker dps than Megatron's, has the homing feature on it, so he can engage from long ranges. His Jet mode is also faster, I believe
