Chef Paisley Makes Chicken Nuggets!

  • Love chicken nuggets but wish the frozen brands had a few less weird ingredients? Chef Paisley shows us a super EASY, crispy and delicious recipe for homemade chicken nuggets that are healthier and taste so much better than store-bought ones!
    1/2 cup flour
    1/2 tablespoon salt (or 1/4 tablespoon seasoned salt and 1/4 tablespoon kosher salt)
    Salt and Pepper to taste
    1 large piece of chicken, cut into small pieces
    1 egg
    1 tablespoon water
    1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
    In a plastic bag, mix the flour and salt (add more salt or pepper if needed to taste).
    In a shallow bowl, mix the egg and water to create an egg wash.
    In a separate shallow bowl, add the breadcrumbs.
    Shake the chicken pieces in a bag to coat, then dip them in the egg wash, and lastly into the breadcrumbs.
    Heat about an inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken (in batches if needed) until golden brown and cooked through (this will take a couple of minutes per side).
    Drain chicken on a paper towel and serve with condiments if desired.
