    This is a really great pattern, more specifically the A cup one! And for anyone wondering, when starting row 2 - the stitches you skip DO count as a dc. So when counting back how many dc you have in row 2, count those as well :) (eg. for cup A, you skip 4 and crochet in the 5th one - those 4 count as the 1st dc)

    • @addieh5791
      @addieh5791 2 года назад +3

      Does the chain before each row count as a double crochet? I keep putting the first new stitches in the row in the first available stitch from the last row (idrk what to call it😭). Anyway, it’s making the bottom edge of the cup go out so much. I think I am supposed to skip the first stitch and go to the second one, right?

    • @Carlie_flower
      @Carlie_flower Год назад +1

      @@addieh5791 yea same problem here, it does count I believe and I think we technically skip the stitch directly next to the hook but not sure

      Usually the first stitch of a row starts with a chain 3( starting chain) and one sec in the top of the last DC below . Hopefully that will keep the side straight.

    I went by the inches of the first turned row (4.5in), yarn hook (5mm) and yarn size (sugar and cream cotton). In doing that I ended up w a B, when I wear a DD. I'll finish the B cup prob make it a bit wider, and see if it fits correctly but from underb to np it's exact. If I would have made the E cup, it would have been massive with my yarn and hook size. I don't like my clothes to be too big.

    • @paigemack4769
      @paigemack4769 3 года назад +6

      tip! you can widen out the cup by adding more rows but narrowing the top part. like double crochet for example (50 individual stitches) in the 51 stitch, half double crochet, in 52, single crochet. then slip stitch where you would normally increase. then single stitch, half double crochet, then double crochet until the end of the row. I don't know if that makes sense but hope it helps!

I am working with a smaller hook and much thinner yarn. So it is difficult to understand when you explain it in chains rather than inches. *please mention the inches/cm*

I've asked several people for help with this and I have gotten no help with this at all. Sorry to ask you but I don't know who else to ask. In my family, there's a lot of us women that are "big chested" and finding nice things to wear during the Summer is really hard since they really don't sell stuff like this where I live.
