- The Australian’s Washington Correspondent Adam Creighton says the recent shooting at former US president Donald Trump’s rally is “terrible” for the Democrat Party narrative.
“That all the violence and all the extremism is supposedly on the right,” Mr Creighton told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
“I don’t think it’s helpful for either side to be screaming at the other side about extremism.”

I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured.
It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead.
I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear.
I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.
Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening.

This fucking government deeply needs an adjustment. No way a dude with a rifle in 2024 with all the eyes and technology we have just crawled onto a roof within 500 feet from a former president and presidential candidate with no action until shots were made.

For all the tactical experts out there. How is it that the shots are taken from high ground (building in this case) and the shooters is immediately killed (according to media reports). The high ground wasn't secured right? So if it wasn't secured how did the shooter get killed so quickly?
