His power comes from negativity, and Cross and Dream are fighting him at a very dark time in the multiverse. Nightmare truly lives up to his name.

Here after 0.6 came out. Can we all agree that the episode was worth every split second we waited for it? Besides, right at the end of the theme in the episode there was the most Zelda moment in whole Underverse.
XGaster keeps getting better each time we see him. Honestly, I was kinda disappointed on the events side of things, but also amazed at the same time, if that makes sense. The most hype thing for me is that Ultra!Tale Episode 2 was one of XGaster’s secret missions, a mission that happened before Error X-tracted the soul.
I like the idea of Underverse just being filmed in a live studio with all of the characters just being actors directed by XGaster and Jakei. It just seems really fitting somehow.

As soon as this started playing, I completely lost it. Probably one of my favorite fights so far just because we honestly get to see how deadly and terrifying Nightmare truly is. I honestly want him to come back even stronger against Cross at some point. (If he died, I would have cried)
And to think that he is supposed to still be canonically weaker than a human monster fusion at full power, like Delta… My favorite fight is still Delta vs Cross, and my favorite fight from UnderVerse is X-Event!Cross and infected Edge vs Classic and Ink. We are going to get another instance of Dream and Cross vs Nightmare and Killer I think, since Cross Theme still hasn’t been used, and the image shows him fighting Nightmare’s tentacles.

Damn, Nightmare got himself a literal choir. Black Apple has a real "classical" feeling from it. I'm guessing it was that harpsichord being played throughout the music. To be honest that "classical" feeling kind of makes sense for Nightmare, he seems to be the "Boss" of the 3 (Dust, Killer and Horror). So I guess it's kind of like he is the "king" and when you think of "king", you think of royalty which leads to classical stuff. He also thinks higher of himself, fit for a king right? Plus the holy opera singing that the choir in the background is producing, seems very classical and king like right? Anyway that's just my interpretation. Epic music, Nightmare finally got a theme though, hell yeah! Edit: I forgot to point a few things out. The electric guitar, classic Nyx. Also keeps the intense feeling. Now the music sounds very intense and intimidating, which suits Nightmare since he is quite intimidating. Amazing artwork (good job Jakei)! The smooth movements/animation though (good job Nyx)! Another thing is that Nightmare seems insanely happy and angry at the same time, I wonder why. Who is he going to fight? Dream? Cross? Error maybe? Why and what is he fighting for? So many questions but I guess we will find out. Edit: Huh, maybe that's why he took so long to get a theme. He was gathering his choir that was going to sing in the background. Edit: Since a few people in the replies are saying that Nightmare probably won't fight Error, let me explain. So Nightmare is probably angry at Error destroying his 'Negative Energy Supply'. Also if it were to be Dream, the theme sounds way too intense and intimidating to be Nightmare and Dream fighting (although I could be wrong ;-;). Plus Dream and Nightmare deserve a battle theme of their own right? But I could be proven wrong when the animation comes out. Anyway that was just to clear up some confusion. Have a nice day! :3

Black Apple has a real "classical" feeling from it. I'm guessing it was that harpsichord being played throughout the music.
To be honest that "classical" feeling kind of makes sense for Nightmare, he seems to be the "Boss" of the 3 (Dust, Killer and Horror). So I guess it's kind of like he is the "king" and when you think of "king", you think of royalty which leads to classical stuff. He also thinks higher of himself, fit for a king right? Plus the holy opera singing that the choir in the background is producing, seems very classical and king like right?
Anyway that's just my interpretation. Epic music, Nightmare finally got a theme though, hell yeah!

I forgot to point a few things out.
The electric guitar, classic Nyx. Also keeps the intense feeling. Now the music sounds very intense and intimidating, which suits Nightmare since he is quite intimidating.
Amazing artwork (good job Jakei)! The smooth movements/animation though (good job Nyx)! Another thing is that Nightmare seems insanely happy and angry at the same time, I wonder why. Who is he going to fight? Dream? Cross? Error maybe? Why and what is he fighting for? So many questions but I guess we will find out.

Since a few people in the replies are saying that Nightmare probably won't fight Error, let me explain. So Nightmare is probably angry at Error destroying his 'Negative Energy Supply'. Also if it were to be Dream, the theme sounds way too intense and intimidating to be Nightmare and Dream fighting (although I could be wrong ;-;). Plus Dream and Nightmare deserve a battle theme of their own right? But I could be proven wrong when the animation comes out. Anyway that was just to clear up some confusion. Have a nice day! :3
