    Awesome video!
    I don’t know if it just me or the name “kizami Zuki” appears when you’re actually talking about Gyaku Zuki, and then it stays there until you actually finish explaining Kizami Zuki. But that’s only a little detail because the video was very interesting and helpful.
    Great work!

      @@KarateDojowaKu , what Efren MT means is that the "Kizami Zuki" banner is on either for the Gyaky and Kizami explainations. I thing you need to re-edit this part of the video.

    Thanks for the explanaition, please check for a small formal erropr: during gyauku zuki the signs and names were referring to Oi zuki only. As fro th contents, mentioning the second group of hits, uchis , referred to as strikes could have been more instructional mainly by you pointing out the differences in performance and applications to surfaces. Best regards, Paul, 68, retired instructor of Karate.

    • @honigdachs.
      @honigdachs. 4 года назад +3

      Yes. In Goju Ryu, when we say "Age Zuki", we refer to an uppercut, not the rising straight punch shown here, which is a technique found in Shotokan kata. There is also Ura Zuki (short body punch/liver shot, back of the hand facing down), Mawashi Zuki (hook) and Furi Uchi (overhand/long inverted hook).

    Sensei, how have you been? I have been trying to learn Japanese language using karate and I found out your channel last week and I have been using to get deep knowledge on the matter. I have a question: is age zuki written 拳げ突き or 上げ突き? Before this video I could swear the right form is the latter... However I'm not sure anymore... After all, Japanese language is not similar to english. Thank you and congrats for the channel.
