Merrily We Roll Along, Post-Show Broadway Cares Auction, 4/12/24

POV: bidding for a piece of paper for charity, when a higher bidder thankfully stops a mildly inebriated you from making poor financial decisions for your best friend’s 30th birthday gift on a Friday night.
Dan, Jonathan, and Jamila (in for Lindsay once again) assist in this latest edition of the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS auction for the upcoming Easter Bonnet competition, battling it out w/ other B’way and off-B’way shows as well as touring productions to be the top fundraiser.
A bit of error/confusion from Dan when he says the lyrics typed by Jonathan was from “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now”- it’s actually from “Total Eclipse of the Heart” (“I really need you tonightttt”- was this typed on Tuesday’s show?)
Note: I am filming and bidding at the same time, expecting to cut off at $3K, then pushing it to $5,100 as my final offer. Props to Angie for winning it at $6K for charity, though! (Later at stage door, Dan did say he was really rooting for me, but I’ll take an autographed and personalized Playbill for free as consolation.)
