The first FI concert I went to started with this song. Each time the opening sound happened it lit up 1 random member and the light faded out with the sound... it was magical
Cool little fact that I think you'll enjoy....and knowing that you realize how precise and thought out this band is, Maynard says the word "Mitosis" (the act of splitting a cell in two) he says it at the exact midpoint of the song, so actually splitting the song in two....they made it work....and if you ever get a chance, see this band live, I've seen them 14 times since 93....including 4 times on the FI tour over 4 years, they are absolute precision live, album quality and visually stunning
@@B-Drags-Den there’s even one video where he is behind the drum set with Danny but he’s playing an actual operation game from the 70s hilarious all by himself! while Danny plays drums 😂
As Tool fans we waited thirteen years for this album…. And in true Tool form they opened the album with a banger….I know you have some fans of old Tool ( undertow, opiate) but clearly when you give masters over a decade to create something new you get a masterpiece of an album… Jojo would like this album 😂
Fear Inoculum is the maturity evolution of Tool. Very different emotionally. All the anger, hate, and sadness dissolved in the 13 year wait. This album gives you more of a subtely powerful message about humanity and our future. LOVE this album. Well worth the wait!! I look forward to your reactions every time I come home from work. It's my unwind to hear a Tool song and start my afternoon off! 🤘
If you haven't already done it, listen to Tool's song "Pushit" album version and then the Salival album version. You wont regret it. I see you did Pushit so dont skip the Salival version
It is cool for me to see you more relaxed and enjoying your reactions. Nice. Quick question - if you have time - we are about the same age I am guessing and I liked Tool since i heard Sober, and I REALLY liked Tool once I grew up a bit more around when Lateralus came out. Why didn't you hear and/or enjoy Tool in your younger years?
Most of my in depth music listening early on was hair bands and grunge. Not to mention classic rock. I think Tool was just so different at the time it didn't catch me. I had heard of them but didn't pay too much attention to them at the time.
Both concerts I went to opened with this. I can't begin to describe how this felt when the lights when down and these sound came in, it penetrated my being... Instant meditative state. Perfect opening. They wrote this BEFORE Covid but damn did it feel relevant. However, my take on it is it is about the contagion of fear & hate. Fear is a powerful force that can be used to poison your view of the world and its people. This song is about banishing this poison and inoculating yourself against the hate mongering.
@@momishka7 Same! I bought the album and I put on some big noise canceling headphones went to the bed turned off the lights and listened to the whole album. I teared up multiple times.
IMO, wait until the end of your Tool discography to react to Third Eye & 7empest. I would of also suggested waiting for Lost Keys / Rosetta Stoned but that ship sailed 😂 🤘🏻🌀
The effects are nice, but the melody and rhythm are a bit boring compared to the traditional music of Middle East, Africa, and Asia that have likely influenced Tool.
The FI album is immaculate live. I've been lucky enough to see the tour 7 times. I would go again in a heartbeat.
You are a fantastic reactor. I feel like you really feel this band and can truly appreciate what it is. Keep it up!
I appreciate that! Their music has little easter eggs that you can find after several listens. I'm finding that out.

Thanks for the info. I hope to see them live.
@@B-Drags-DenAlthough you’ll have to look hard for Maynard , he likes to hide so that the musicians get more attention ❤

i had a chance to see them live.. the opening song was FI, and that sounds at the beginning was something..
thanks for your time !!
Totally agree set the mood for the whole show.
Thanks for watching.
And to think that sound is coming from a bass. I'm not sure there is a sound Justin can't make on that bass.

Tempest will definitely take you on a joy ride. They won a Grammy award for that song. You definitely will enjoy it.

it sounds like Tool has sorta been revising the same song for 20 years
Zempest is Adam and Danny going crazy.Maynard does his thing first half then turns it over to Justin and the guys imo

@@B-Drags-Den You won't be surprised to hear my favorite bands growing up (before Tool) were Van Halen, Scorpions, Dokken and Metallica.

Thanks for the breakdown. I got lost in the music.
Indeed, I cried the first album listen. We who know, know. ❤

Got it Ted. Got to get to Dream Theater too.
Parabol/Parabola….done together… pretend they are one song and just roll through the break…🌀 out
Copyright issue on that one, looking for work around. I'll get it up somehow.
Ahh… wonder why? I know they have a song from opiate that was In a movie and gets hit for that..
Great reaction

Actually towards the end Danny Carey did some interesting stuff.
