Game of Thrones is an original HBO series based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling novels. In a world where summers span decades and winters can last a lifetime, the crown of Westeros comes with a price. Betrayal, lust, intrigue and supernatural forces shake the four corners of the Kingdom, from the scheming south and the savage eastern lands, to the frozen north and the ancient Wall that protects the realm from the darkness beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and noble men vie for power in the bloody struggle for the Iron Throne.

Game of Thrones: House Lannister Feature (HBO)
• Game of Thrones: House...
The Lannisters are my favourite house and Jaime is my favourite character
تفهم👍
absolutely love tyrion. killed his dad on the toilet. that was pretty bad ass.
Tyrion is a bad ass :)
I also really like Tyrion Lannister character, but him killing his own father is the thing I dislike the most about him.
Sure Tywin did not treat him very well, but in the end, he had the opportunity to leave; just let things be and walk away.
Maybe it's just me, i dunno
@@mightydigebuge Tywin would have hunted him to the far ends of Westeros.
@@mightydigebuge ARE U STUPID OR WHAT
The fact this comment is 7 years old already is shocking to me. I really wonder if Joanna lived after giving birth to Tyrion if he would still hate tyrion...
Nicolaj is an awesome actor, I see him first in Gods of Egypt.
I love how Jaimes hair changes from season 1 to blonde to black in season 8. Just shows they didn't care anymore
I've thought that, too. The "golden-haired" Lannisters pretty much all go brown.
@@madamebkrt Yeah, D and D didn't care about continuity after season 2
Fuck it, yeah I like the Lannisters. Jaime practically saved King's Landing and is actually a pretty fucking good guy. And Tywin is just a badass.
"And I'm starting to think there's a lot more to Jaime than a rich, pretty boy, douche."
The books flesh him out a lot more. He's a fascinating character, that has good and bad to him. Hopefully we'll see more of that in the show.
Well this aged well and bad at the same time they D & D did an amazing job fleshing out his character throughout until the last season that is
Jaime being played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau = awesomeness.
Can't wait to see it.
Oh man I just want to see The Rock already
Colton White We'll probably see it in season 7.
Colton White ye it's nice
🤫
I love Jaime :a bastard, but so courageous and a great sense of humour
Lena Headey deserves an Emmy for this...
Actually there are a few people who should be up for it next year. This is a great show. Love it.
Peter Dinklage plays sooooo well. Give that man an emmy!
Every single cast member made me feel something. So good! All the cast deserves their own Emmy! I must say, Long live House Stark, THE KING IN THE NORTH!
Who scored these videos? The music is killing me. It's hilariously melodramatic in contrast with actors and directors talking.
The music is always too loud in anything.
I don’t see the best Lannister feature here, Tywin Lannister
I love the Lannisters! They are my favorite house BY FAR.
They're certainly all fascinating; Tyrion so witty, Jaime so independent, Cersei such a great villain, Tywin such a dominant man and Joffrey completely boundless. There are lots of great houses though; the Tyrells, for example, might be what the Lannisters once were - a wealthy House that wants to play the political games. And I love the dynamic of the Starks as well; they don't really want any part in the politics, but once they're dragged in they won't go down without a fight.
Hell yeah, it's the Giant of Lannister!
Jaime gets more likeable, and there's of course Tyrion.
Jaime is my favourite character and a sincerely hope that Seasons 3-5 do justice to him as a character.
The best house change my mind and I'll make you watch the red wedding with me cheering house lannister during it
Hahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahaha. no.
@@hahaimout1693 cringe guy.
One of the things I really enjoy about the Song of Ice and Fire books (as well as the TV show), is the care that's put into making characters three-dimensional. There are so few characters that are completely evil, and even fewer who are completely good, and it makes the world feel all the more real. There's only a couple exceptions, such as Gregor Clegane and Prince Joffery, who have absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and coincidently, they're both associated with the Lannisters.
"There was nothing t be afraid of until you told father." Ha, love it.
"He is a member of the Kingsguard his duty is to guard the king"
Thank you Captain Obvious
everyone likes that little dwarf because 1. he is clever and witty, 2. he is the underdog, 3. He is respectable and honorable.
The Lannisters are the best house, even Cersei.
Prottimus Cersei is a fool but could have been Brilliant if her father had of recognized her.
my favorite house
"He's had a very complicated upbringing in relation to his father." Now that's an understatement.
agreed Dinklage rocked it, Sean Bean was easily the most loved character but Peter did a fantastic job and an Emmy would be much diserved
Lannisters for the win!
what i love on GoT is, that there is no clear good and evil. You have a choice. Lannisters are not my most favorite house, but I sympatise with them a bit.
Actually my favorite House. Seriously love Jaime and Tyrion, and kind of love to hate Cercei. She's a fantastic villain.
Just started reading the book a week ago. Before I even did I saw the first two episodes and almost immediatley I liked Tyrion. He is awesome!
4/17/11 can't get here soon enough.....I feel like a kid waiting for christmas!
Tyrion has become one of my favorite characters. Dude freaking rules.
Such an awesome series man. Those of u who dont like the lannister dont worry, all characters get what comes to them but the Lannisters are not so bad, U get to understand them more.
There was Star Wars.... LOTR... now GOT (best one) :D
mattaddison19 series = a group or a number of related or similar things, events, etc., arranged or occurring in temporal, spatial, or other order or succession; sequence.
I gave you the definition of a "series" and you bitch about it. Would you like some cheese with you whine hmm?
when did i say SW and LOTR were a television series?
oh and good job insulting me on every post. It really captures your intelligence.
You're right I am the one being ignorant because i am using facts to back up my posts. Clearly you argue with facts so no point in arguing with you. Enjoy your ignorant life "idiot" :)
My favourite house... Jaime and Cercei
even though you love to hate the lannisters they are some of the best characters in the series
Tyrion is my favvvvvvvvvvorite. He's simply a brilliantly written character!
BEST SHOW EVER
Being evil with style is an art. These guys are the artists...
I'd say Jon Snow, Davos Seaworth, Samwell Tarly, Bran Stark would all fit into your "directly good guys" category.
Jaime is my favourite character alongside Jon and Arya in the books and the show
that's a really cool way of seeing it!
I'm using that in my next history essay :D
Best show of all time
Jaime is actually not as bad as he seems. His POV chapters are some of the best in the books.
I love them, espiecially Jamie and Tyrion! :D:D
also, we keep forgetting poor Kevan. And he deserves some love too if only for his strong affection and loyalty to his brother and the way he told Cersei to go fuck herself. I swear to God I have never cheered for anyone like I had cheered for him during that moment
And Tommen, Myrcella, Kevan and Lancel :D
Deep down he's a good kid :)
Tyrion is hilarious. And the best is when he is arguing with Cersei.
tyrion makes game of thrones infinitely more interesting. most everyone is seems preoccupied with 'the pike'
Trying to prevent a war. He is also hot tempered and does first thing that comes to his head, but he regrets things he does a lot.
At 0:30 it shows the lake around Harrenhal, the God's Eye, empting directly into Kings Landing. It should merge into the Blackwater Rush before it gets there, damn you HBO's cartographer!
"I believe that Cersei really loved Robert in the beginning"
LOL
Yeah the Lannisters are my favourite house
Jaime is badass in book 3!
"Tyrion is a...dwarf" HAHAHAHAHAHA I lost it XD
@Lemurius Same, and I think that shows GRRM was just really good at describing how he imagined his characters. Not so in a lot of other books that have been converted to shows/movies.
perfect casting for the Lannister patriarch!
Charles Dance! :D :D :D
jamie lanister had the most amazing character development, but he stayed with cercei so they fucked
The house Lannister, then there's tyrion xD
Now most of them are dead
Louisdidnothingwrong None of the 3 siblings are.
Wtf
This is by far my favorite book series ever, sad that the 5th book still hasnt been published =(
those who read the books have a much different opinion of him than those who simply watched the show....your point re the relative he murdered in the show is a perfect example; that didn't happen in the books...then again, a lot of what happened this season didn't happen in the books.
Good that there's someone with me!!
For 5 more weeks, my motto is "Sunday is Coming"
He will leave notes behind himself, for sure. Wheel of Time is example for that. =)
HAIL House Lannister!!!
Peter Dinklage NEEDS to win Emmy's for his portayal of the role of Tyrion Lannister. He and all the child actors on this show are simply outstanding! That being said, all the acting, and production in general are well above average! So far the fantasy elements of this show seem so in the background that it comes across to me more as a pseudo-historical epic(think Braveheart or Gladiator or 300) than a fantasy series (like D&D or LOTR or Clash of the Titans). Lots of sex & violence=GOOD! lol
Hail to the Lannisters!!!
Tywin is badass, Jaime is badass, Tyrion is badass
A Lion, suddenly remind me of a lion with a crown in its head,
Most interesting family in the best show on television
And don't forget Kevan.
I so hope he gets more screen time in season 4 since he plays a big role in the books from what I've heard/read
-_- you said; "the Lannisters are the bad guys, if anything I'd say Tywin is the least "bad" among them"
Jaime doesn't think before he acts; its his flaw, yes he's a bad person but compared to others he's no where near evil! He just wants to protect his family, in his own way. You do feel remorse for him in a SoS; this man will always put his family first, and he does become a better person.
For most people that only watch the series that is a given. Over time though, Jaime becomes probably the most interesting character in the series.
@Vearsin I agree. The biggest concern of the series is the Cersei character. She is not showing any of the characterstics that make her what she is.
He is a member of the Kingsguard and he is also a Lannister. He has broken neutrality before, and he is clearly not a neutral at the end of book 5.
I'm sure Casterly Rock is a sight to behold.
Absolutely.
nah I realy like Tywin Lannister... he knows what he wants, he is a symbol of a strong ruler, he is clever, noble and knows his goals... He is jsut awesome, no matter he is playing a negative role
I mean .. whats NEGATIVE .... he is ready to sacrifice everything for his family
The dude playing Tywin Lannister (assuming that was him at the end) looks familiar. Is that the same guy who played Theoden in LOTR movies maybe?
Even if Martin does die the story will continue. He may have said that no one else has permission to finish writing the books for him, but he has told all the major future plot lines to the producers of the HBO TV series.
Oof
Ahhh old days....
Olenna Tyrell is the one that taught Margaery the game, both Varys and Littlefinger acknowledge her as a formidable player
This Lannisters are weakened, have you read the mess Cersei put them in?
That's why Littlefinger is attempting to make Sansa queen, Roose is trying to become king and Varys is getting Aegon to fight for the throne. The Lannisters can't stop them because they're destroying themselves
I'm half way through ADWD right now and while the actors stuck in my head while reading the books for a while, most of them eventually faded away to my own imaginings of what they should be....except for jaime and most of all tyrion/dinklage. Tyrion is the one character where when I read the books I hear Dinklage's voice 4 books later.
george please hurry and write the winds of winter. i can't wait forever.
Lannisters:
the best team
a lannister always pays his debts
Cleopatra indeed was supposed to be a Ptolemy, Greeks who were once goat herders... but who really knows. As for Egyptians being "black," there were people of lots of different color in that kingdom. They were quite different looking back then, I imagine, because the Arab invasion didn't happen for another 7 and a half centuries. There were darker ones as you went down the Nile, but in Alexandria, probably of similar complexion to ancient Greeks.
He redeemed himself a lot!
Teaching the Game at King's Landing College
*maniacal cackling
They have the best characters. The story wouldn't be the same without the Lannisters
Tyrion is the only Lannister I'd let live
I totally agree.
Come on, the Lannister's are the best characters if you exclude Cersei and Joffrey.
I like the Lannisters
Can't wait to see the Lannisters getting killed by the meteorite. I hope they get that scene right.
note how the trailer dances quite gracefully around the "i" word.... wonder if that's just to stop creeping people out in the trailer, being kept as a pilot shock, or been edited outcompletly.... wouldn't think the last though, Joffrey's lineage is kind of moderaly important to plot.....
admit it .. the lannisters army had the coolest battle dress attire in all seven kingdoms..
