Someone gifted me the early Sonlight levels after her kids outgrew it, and it was so wonderful. I didn’t buy a thing (I just did all the worksheets out loud). Sonlight feels like a heavy investment in the early years when you still have to figure out phonics and math.
That was another thing I was thinking of doing - keeping everything and gifting it!
I have such a problem with hoarding the kids' art. I display it for quite some time then make myself choose my absolute favorite "few" pieces which I label and store in a drawer. It's like I'm throwing away a piece of my soul when the rest goes in the trash 😂. We just don't have enough storage space to keep it all, or else I totally would.
I hate throwing away art 😢- but it has to be done!!
I use plastic file boxes for my kids papers and art. They have a new file folder for each year. It’s so hard and I’m the worst at weeding out.
So hard!
So fun! I love these kinds of videos!
Love your videos ❤ can you show how you display kids art work in your hallway that you mentioned on this video.. I’m thinking of doing the same and I was thinking of art display frames, so I’m curious how you display yours..
I might have to give the flex binders a try. I really don’t like the traditional cheap ones I get from Target. The pockets always rip and they take up so much space on our table when they’re open.
I’ve really liked them and they have held up - my big kids have used theirs for the past two years and I think I can get at least one more year out of them!!
Oh i can totally relate. I always struggle with what and how much to keep even though my state doesn’t require to keep much at all. What criteria do you use to decide what to keep?
I aim for something from week 1, fall semester, midway, spring semester, and final week ... so about 5 examples!
@@sciencemama btw. Do you think you can make a video with tips for us mamas where science isn’t our strength to teach. I feel like my teachers never made it practical, relatable and straightforward to really come to fall in love with science. Just a suggestion! 😉
Hi there! Love your videos. Curious, you mention doing All About Spelling with your daughter. Are you also doing Logic of English, maybe with a different child? How do those compare? I don’t know how you get so much done with your kids. I can’t keep up!
Yes they are for different kiddos - my daughter just did not like Logic of English! They are quite similar, I made a spelling comparison video a few months ago!
I don’t write in my guides, but with one more kindergartner (she’s 2 now) I don’t know what I will do with all the books! Tutor? Save for my future grandchildren? Save only my favorites? I don’t know!
I still don’t know what I’m planning on doing!
I'm interested in both you ideas on the vedios
