In one hand being fully objective and honest about reviews may make the winning company happy untill its not. I was wondering if u want to take it step further and open a patreon where u are financially supported by true esk8 followers that believe in honest objective reviews without any pressurr to piss any company off for being honest. If that works it could even help u even improve the video/editing quality and actually make a living out of it. Wish u all the best bud ;)

I am blessed to have a stable job and do not count on anything from this page to put food on the table. Because of that I can tell the truth with no fear. The little money I have made I just roll right back into the channel. I will say though there are a few companies that really appericate the honest reviews for a few reasons. 1 it gives them feedback to make their stuff better. 2 with everyone saying everything is the best the really great products get washed out. This is the case with onsra, evolve, and cloudwheels. All 3 have really appericated the honesty. Wowgo did not lol. But it is subscribers like you that want me to keep doing this. Good information.
    I usually move at the flat.
    I was light in weight.
    I sometimes go up the hill and evovle gtr is not enough torque feel. (a pulley 32t)
    This part is sad ...
    If the batteries and motors become stronger,
    The motor will be louder.
    If that's the case, it'll be bad for boarding while listening to music. (Earphones are only worn on one side for safety.)
    on one's personal wish
    I wish there was a motor with fast speed and strong torque + quiet sound.

    Fantastic, detailed and informative review there @Ramatorix eSk8 reviews. I'm sortta torn between the two myself. No time to do a point scoring test currently as I don't actually own an e-board as yet but I will say that Evolve mailed me to keep me updated with the opening of their new UK HQ (for test ride etc etc) and Fabian himself, replied to my quite detailed query after contacting Esk8 Europe (aka Onsra) and asking for him only (and not just any salesman) to reply. On that basis, Onsra wins for in-depth information. I will, of course, further add to these comments below, when I have more time. P.S. Thanks for the brief chat the other day ;)

    • @Ramatorix
      @Ramatorix  4 года назад +1

      Sno, no problem at all. So the purpose of the points is so you can choose what categories matter the most to you. Then make a table like I did with the three zones. Use my data to plug in which board wins each category. Then total everything up. For example say where you live there are no hills so you don't care about hills but top speed or noise are very important you you. Then when you make your score sheet put those in zone 3 and hills in zone 1. Now evolve will have a higher score then it did for me. Does all that make sense? Sorry I am terrible at explaining.

I would take the GTR over the Onsra since I ride in the city and around people I like that it is quite. Also it is proven to be great quality, fantastic support with service stations in many countries, like some flex of board and battery and all the bits and options you can get for the board.Be cool to see the GTR with AT and also with the 115 mm rubber wheels and 38T pulleys. Very informative as always. How do you feel about the difference in flex of the boards? If you have 120 mm cloud wheels can you try them on the GTR and assess the difference from the 105 mm? The rubber wheels still better on gravel? Look forward to seeing your open opinions riding AT wheels for a while. Ride safely

    • @Ramatorix
      @Ramatorix  4 года назад +3

      Jonas, i like the flex in the gtr but i also like the little less flex of the onsra. The flex is good to bounce from edge to edge but the stiffness is good because it is precise from edge to edge. I have a set of 120mm cloudwheels but I am going to do my tests on 105 for right now. The only difference i can find between the 105 and 120 is 120 has higher top speed less torque and makes the board sit up higher. The 105 cloudwheels have lower top speed, more torque, and sit lower. The 105 fit my ridding better. There was no difference in comfort or range in my tests. Out of street wheels the rubber ones are best on gravel but I think the a/t will be way better. Should be getting a set in a month or 2.

    How about portability? Board weight is a factor, but when most pick up the front truck and drag, the question becomes which board has the better motor clearance with the front truck in the air? It would also be helpful to know your height, as height impacts the drag angle.

    • @Ramatorix

    Awesome review.
    I have DD onsra and had bamboo GTX
    Here is my take.
    1. In CA, sales tax is close to 10% of the price. No tax if it comes from China. I will take that.
    2. Hill climb, if you stretched the hill 2x more, Evolve would overheat and go into stupor. Onsra would keep going strong.
    3. I did change onsra bushings to Riptide (evolve uses them) it is much better. I can do 30+ miles without fear of death wobble.
    Onsra for the win in my book.
    For the future, please do a Evolve AT set up vs Onsra AT.

They will convey parts if need I suppose but evolve I can call on the phone and talk to a technician. I accept your assessments in this review but evolve gets very few points for a flexy board, batteri and enclosure which makes carving hard very fun. Hello, I know this video is a bit old and I love your videos. However just one thing. The Evolve GTR came out in 2019 when all copies did not exist and they now sell the Hadean. In terms of this video one of these boards come with a flexible deck, battery pack and enclosure. The other a stiff painted wooden plank which makes it cheaper to make the battery and enclosure. Take care and make more videos.

      I bought the gopro max. It is really good and cuts the wind when moving. Standing the wind can be heard. Biggest complaint is the battery dies even when the camera is off. I charge it. Let it sit for 2 days and when i turn it on its at 80%. With the camera on it eats the battery pretty fast.

      I did not lol, probably should have. I paid 1400 for the onsra and 1750 for the evolve. Both were on sale when I bought them. With out sales the evolve is 1800 before tax and shipping, onsra is 1450 before shipping. Prices will change though. The onsra with a bigger battery will probably be more expensive.

    Exlnt comparison ,for myself these two were on the final choice& was leaning to the DD onsra which I should have gotten!
    Then Bound DD came along with the D3 it had a drop down deck & came with the 105 windmill rubber wheels 14amp battery ,I’ve had it now 4 weeks ,traveled 400meters & waiting for new DD kit ? Should have gone with you Fabian , I’m curiouse if your inclined to do a review on Bound boards DD ,for me the top of the list goes with customer support when your going to spend this kind of $ you want to know there’s a fix to your problembs , stay safe ,travel well 🙏🏻😌

      Byron, sorry for the late response youtube did not notify me of this comment. That sucks your board broke but it will happen with all manufacturers. It is good to hear they are taking care of you. I want to try a DD board but for my area being able to swap pulleys to gear it down is almost a must. I have seen the bound boards and like the looks of their stuff. If it is a 12s 14 ah battery maybe this could be the next board I buy.

      Ramatorix eSk8 reviews hi there no sweat , thanks for the reply ,customer support & Mr Chen offered me very little support ,excuse me .
      I decided to order a complete new DD at my expense for the sake of spare parts ,after supplying bound with numerous videos of my problem & defects in videos ,the only reply from bound is when my visa transaction failed the first time in ordering the replacement DD ! But after hearing today from another dissatisfied customer I should have been more persistent as they finaly resolved his issue ,well done Bound , but as for my near complete silent issue ? I’m not a rude person ,they have me over a barrel , talk ,no talk ,I knew straight away this was not just some bearing issue ,like I said I have spare parts , like if I have to replace a week axle that’s bent ? Another bad can , hope to god it’s not a funky vesc over heating , Esk8ers talk a lot I wish I had gone deeper into more research as I have due to this covid madness , you seem to manage to give an logical endurance performance perspective on your boards & reviews, the ones that have on Bound are please excuse one trick pony’s , yes this board looks great ,has a lot of potential , & for a brief moment ,ever so brief felt it , that’s why I’m persistent , if I was to recommend this board for you to buy ! I honestly couldn’t , but you have already my 2 other affordable choices I would have picked , it would be an interesting competition , you have a good following ,hit bound up for demo model to test , I know there not the same motors , but can the underdog take on its closest competition ?in there price range , hey look excuse my tone , I’ve been chewing on this while in lock down too mutch , & I feel like my dog waiting for the postman for my replacement parts ,so I’m just kind of venting , so where ever you are stay safe ,& as always travel well 🙏🏻😌

    Can anyone tell me where I can find bushings harder than 100a
    Since I’m pretty new at skating I really need a tight set up to ride at speed comfortable. And the 100a that come on the Black carve are actually bulging out a bit after I tightened them.. also do you thin those exway machined washers would help, a lot of people say they really make a difference. If so do I need to order two sets because of the double k pins??
