Lots of them made... hopefully not a premium... Churchill AVRE belongs in the normal tree. I have not checked, is the NA75 variant premium or normal tree?
While I know the KV5 is a tank, it is also the name of an egyptian tomb, which I think would be a bit more scary to randomly come across in warthunder.
it wasnt a question of upgrading firepower, rather they had tanks without guns and guns without tanks, so they tried it and it fit. not many were converted, since they were only doing it to get gunless tanks into the field. the up gunning of the churchill was acheived by boring out the 6 pounder barrel to accept 75mm shells which is much cheaper.
The 75 definitely wasn't more firepower, IRL all that mattered was that you could penetrate the armor and the 6 pounder was able to penetrate more armor.
KV-5 ( Object 225) - A cancelled project for a super-heavy tank. Armament was to be a 107 mm ZiS-6 gun in a large turret and a machine gun in a small secondary turret. Weight was projected as about 100 tons, and the tank was to have 150-180 mm of armor.

I think they should add the KV-7 tank destroyer. They could even add one to the normal tech tree and one as a premium as there were two different variants. One variant carried two 76mm ZiS-5 guns and the other carried two 45mm Model 1932 guns with a single 76mm ZiS-5 gun mounted in between the two smaller guns.
apart from the KV-220 none of the "scariest" KV variants (KV-3, KV-4, KV-5) were built, but a KV with 90mm of armor and a 76mm F-32 cannon was built as the Objkt 150/T-150 after that almost all variants were based on either the KV-1 or KV-1S chassis mounting all kinds of guns (76mm, 85mm, 100mm, 122mm), including something similar to the SU-122's howitzer, the one exception being the KV-13 which was a medium tank developed from the KV-1 there are also flamethrower and self-propelled gun variants (both artillery and anti-tank)
This was actually done in the field to replace the 2-pounder that was still being put on the Churchill. They literally took the turrets of destroyed Sherman!
Yep. Salvaged the main gun from wrecked Shermans during the Italian campaign They then discovered that the Churchill chassis was a better firing platform for it, meaning the gun could hit targets from farther away. And as an added bonus, it could actually penetrate enemy armor!
"Tomb KV5 is a subterranean, rock-cut tomb in the Valley of the Kings. It belonged to the sons of Ramesses II." it shoots evil eye and curses, do NOT mess with it.
I kinda disappointed with British WW2 Tank like the Churchill. Well the AVRE Petard Mortar is Devastating but their at least put more Powerful Main Cannon to Counter the German Panzer-IV & Tiger-I & IIs. At least the US managed the build countermeasure like the M-26 Pershing with it's 90mm Cannon
That was a 12,000 lb version of the 'HC' High Capacity (more explosive than the earlier 'GP' or General Purpose) bombs designed after WWII began. The HC was originally a simple 4,000 lb tube-shaped bomb with flat ends, which was developed into an 8,000 lb HC 'Cookie' (by bolting two together); which, plus a tail unit, was enlarged to become the 12,000 lb HC. They had flat noses and the first ones fell tumbling, with triple fuses in the nose to explode on impact with buildings and demolish them with (mostly) blast effects. Later they gained tail units to make them fall with the incendiaries, and open up buildings which the incendiaries would then set on fire. Some were given delay fuses to keep the firemen guessing and allow the city to burn. The Tallboy was a streamlined ground-penetrating bomb of 12,000 lbs weight, with less explosive and more casing, to penetrate targets and demolish them with an earthquake effect, these led to the 22,000 lb 'Grand Slam' bombs, and later the US AZON and TARZON guided demolition bombs, some of which were used in Korea against pin-point targets like large bridges.

Gotta love american british by ride during WW2. American tank chassis with powerful british gun and a heavy british tank chassis with american gun. Not too ention planes. So many cool hybrids during that time.

you're hilarious
I would pay good money for a kv-5 ,throw in a Egyptian decal of a pyramid and it’s a wonderful bundle. Instead of stalins fridge it’s stalins tomb
I just googled it I hope they never add that in pls giajin listen to our plea
@@battleranger1202 welcome to WoT
0:00 - The Lancaster just looks so cool. My favourite heavy bomber of the war.
Yeah, it is amazing, my favourite one, looks wise, however is the B29. Tho the Pe-8 is a pretty smooth looking thing.

Mine is Yer-2. Bomber with seagull wings! But Lancaster is really royal, especially these long engines.

Yes.
Ah yes, the "we need more firepower in our Churchill's now, so let's wedge a Sherman's 75 into the turret" Churchill.
Well done, Bo and co!

AVRES next. Give us the MK 1. 3 and 7 variants.
how long till they implement the other earthquake bomb, the 24,000lb "Grand Slam" bomb?
