    The worst idea ever

      Why

    • @paulmobleyscience
      @paulmobleyscience Год назад +1

      @@LilSplashPad Many reasons they all have their many flaws. Water used for cooling causes H2O neutron capture into 3H20 and tritium permeation. Molten salt used for cooling causes Tellurium embrittlement at the grain boundry layer. Pebble fuel has 3 seperate layers of carbon and two different types so not carbon free or even neutral...plus many more

      @@paulmobleyscience didn’t know that, thought these things would be a reliable source of power. Seems we’re always gonna be stuck in a “what powers better” match. Even thru “clean” movements you’re originally mining and manufacturing whatever. There just ain’t no way

      @@paulmobleyscience Molten salt and pebble fuel are not features fundamental to SMRs so I don't see how those are relevant.
      Ditto to water cooling. How is that different from traditional reactors?

      @@anxiousearth680 As I said they all have their various issues...Would you prefer the Nuscale design...where the moderator was left in the condenser or perhaps another design that uses any number of fuels or coolants that have their various issues. Apparently you don't comprehend that all designs weren't named, all fuels weren't named nor all cooling sources named....only a few.
