Stop apologising for the way you look. You look perfect with or without make up and your hair is always lovely, you are a natural beauty. Love it when you are in your greenhouse, can’t wait to get back to mine, I’m currently with family. 💚🪴
I applaud you for wanting to learn more about nutrition. You'll learn in the LEAP programs that A,D,E, & K are stored in the body and can be toxic at high levels. As a registered dietitian/nutritionist (retired), I'd suggest including a disclaimer when you discuss nutrition. Maybe something like "this is what I do for myself, but check with your doctor to assure it's right for you." Ashwagandha, has some interactions with medications for diabetes, hypertension and thyroid, so it's not right for everyone. Wondered what was going into the old Top Shop when I was in London. I think you were experiencing deja vu for the Oxford Street Top Shop.
Josie, you'd be so proud, i was out in the garden today for 2 hours, cleaning up weeds, sweeping and it looks better already, i saw lots of buds on the trees and flowers, roll on Spring 🌱🌼❤
Brogan I was so happy when Josie said that she was watching one of your videos! I love the fact that one of my favourite RUclipsrs watches another one of my favourites 😀❤️
Yes Josie dear dokka is definitely Egyptian . We use it traditionally with some kind of bread sticks called semit and boiled eggs and it is a hearty local treat for everyone 😋😋
Something just struck me as I watched the end of this vlog. I love the cooking, the gardening, the lovely supportive relationship between you and Charlie, the nutrition, health and well being advice etc. And the dogs are without doubt THE most beautiful and adorable dogs I have ever encountered. But right at the end of this vlog at the event in London: the products, the consumerism, the endless selling of products that most of us don’t need (or certainly don’t need MANY of). We love the planet and we love the health and well being of ourselves and our loved ones - and for us all to thrive we NEED TO CONSUME LESS. Recycled packaging is all well and good - but it still involves lots of energy to produce millions of unnecessary products, and if those products are not necessary we shouldn’t be producing them and using up valuable resources to make them in the first place. The truth is that mass consumerism is never going to fit with caring for our planet and our future, and our children’s future. We can still buy and consume some things - but we must consume LESS. I’m not sure how you can square all this with your business model - it’s obvious that you are trying to do this (and all credit to you both for your efforts) - but ultimately we all have to buy less products - for our planet and also for our well being, we have to avoid buying things we simply do not need. Buy quality, buy what lasts, buy secondhand, buy beautiful things that we can keep for years. William Morris is very inspirational in this respect. I do enjoy your vlogs though - you are on the right track ! I look forward to seeing how things progress for you 🧡x
Be careful what you say Josie, you can develope a toxicity with vitamin D. It can cause multiple problems from nausea to bone pain to kidney toxicity. If you like you can easily look it up, or just ask you Alexis. You can also overdo vitamin C on your face resulting in a (hopefully) mild burn, depending on your skin sensitivity. Always test out new products for 24 hours on the inner elbow. Better safe then sorry when it comes to your face. 😊
Honestly that Ole Henriksen serum is unlikely to be at the correct pH and very unlikely even Ascorbic Acid. It’s a cheaper vitamin c that doesn’t do much for collagen or PiH. She’s more likely to get a bad reaction from all the essential oils and fragrance in it.
As a registered dietitan, Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, and you can absolutely overdose on this. Please work with your doctor to see if you have low vitamin D levels before taking it
You are absolutely right!! What is a safe dose of vitamin D is very individual. To everyone reading this: please don't listen to people claiming somthing as a general truth. Individually check what is right for you and in what amount/ dose.
good afternoon Jossie, I really like your videos because they teach me a lot about eating, cooking, gardening, beauty, taking care of yourself, dressing well, thank you very much, greetings from Spain❤
I think there is something beautifully nostalgic when one has lived/worked in several locations and can go back and visit. When these places change, it can sometimes be bittersweet but also wonderful to have memories of "your time" in that place. London looked lovely in the late Winter sunshine, and I LOVED the oatmeal shade of that Holland Cooper coat on you Josie. Also how lovely were those two ladies at the end there? 🤍🤍
Loved the video as always ❤ And with your D you could try going to get bloodwork done to see what your level is at and they may prescribe having a really high dosage for a week/month to get you higher. At least that’s how it was for me in the US. My sister, mom and I all have very low D being in New England and that’s what we had to do and it helps so much with my energy and motivation!
Josie I keep coming back for the joyous repetitiveness ❤️ Love your channel. Thank you for all that you share with us. I’m a teacher in Ontario, Canada and I’ve actually been able to source lots of the products you’ve shared through your links. Thank you for all your beautiful work. Remember to take time for you too! ❤️
I recently read that broccoli microgreens contain 10 times more phytonutrients and minerals than mature broccoli. I am trying to grow them using my Teeny Greeny micrology kit 🤞😊 love your vlog - very inspiring
Aww i love brogan and benji, i have been watchinf brogans channel for years. There wedding on the 24th feb made me cry like a baby, having been a new bride myself. This brought so many happy memories to me. Im so glad you found brogans channel xx now i have both your channel and her channel to watch yay xx
Excellent content thanks. Oh dear Josie you are right you do seem a little down? I often feel that I do the same things every day of the week? Life is a repetitive journey? But fun just the same! Xxxx
I love soup. Today I made my broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, onion and mushroom soup. After it cooks you use your immersion tool. I don’t like to make it too smooth because I like a rustic texture. I don’t like broccoli raw, only cooked. It is a super food but sadly can lose cause bloating and gas. Interesting what you said about your house feeling cold. We feel the same this year in portland, Oregon. We’ve been in our house 17 years and 2 years ago put in a new very energy efficient furnace and we remarked how we could turn it down a few degrees and we were warmer than with our old furnace but we’ve been freezing this year. Then again we had snow yesterday on March 2nd. I’m so ready for spring.
My favorite roasted broccoli recipe (seriously it’s SO good) is simply broccoli tossed in: olive oil Soy sauce Honey Salt/pepper Garlic powder Chili pepper flakes if you’re feeling spicy Roast for 15-20 mins at 400F! Delicious 🤌🏻
Actually Josie, you can overdose on Vitamin D as it deposits in the fatty tissues in your body. The Vitamins K, E, D, and A are the Vitamins you should be wary of. Vitamin C on the other hand is another story as it "flushes" out with your normal bodily functions so to speak, and yes, I am a healthcare professional.
Hi Josie, forgive me if I’m overthinking, but I conflated your comment about the repetitiveness of the content of your vlogs, with your comment about London feeling like home still. I don’t know if you’re feeling restless and in need of changing things up a little, or London is a good distraction from what got you down earlier, but I hope you find equilibrium for yourself. Maybe your new vlogs about the Cotswolds will help: I actually watched a vlog of yours from a couple of years ago with the new kitchen almost done at Strawtop and a trip to Milton Keynes to Harrods and I thought how nice it was when you filmed in the powder room…it’s a small thing but the background of flowers might be a nice change for you? Whatever you decide and whatever you do, I’ll enjoy and be grateful for it 😊
Just saw you on Jo Good's ("Middle Age Minx") vlog. Fun to see my favorite country vlogger on my favorite city vlogger's video! Although I do remember watching you when you were a London girl, too!
Your seed sewing vlogs are my absolute favourite, in fact over the years, you've inspired me so much I now have an allotment so thank you for the joy its giving me. Also lovely you gave Brogan a mention I've been watching her for years and years!! xx
We had a nightmare with rocket grow last year, just sets so hard. Warning of the asparagus pea, it does not taste very nice 😅 Yet to meet someone who likes it but everyone’s different. Love the gardening content Josie 💚 Oh p.s I’ve been bingeing the ultra-processed people and thank you for the recommendation, what an interesting insight into the food industry!
You don’t seem yourself lately - nervously rambling on - not relaxed but great information and soup recipe - Don’t pressure yourself to do so many videos a week and take sometime to just relax more?
You have no idea if there is something going on in her life right now- easy to judge from the comfort of your own sofa - it is hard job what she is doing- she is only a human we can have fuzzy days !
I have just made a batch of broccoli and courgette soup for lunch today. We unfortunately can’t have cheese as my Husband is allergic, but tasty just the same I added cayenne parsley and thyme.
Dear Josie, I love your videos and your lifestyle ! I'm pretty confident that you actually can overdose on vitamin D, so please be careful with your health and your supplements, we don't want you to be unwell ;-)
February is always the most difficult month of the year. For everyone. If you need a new adventure or challenge, it will come. Spring is in 3 weeks. Be patient.
Too much vitamin D can be dangerous. The only time you need to use supplements is when lab work shows you’re low in any particular vitamin. One thing is for certain we won’t know for about 25 years if your wellness routine works. You’re still way too young. Genes and lifestyle play a more important role than an excessive use of wellness gimmicks.
Those podcasts and books they’re reading are all gimmicky too. I wish for them they’d loosen up a bit and just enjoy themselves without thinking so hard about everything they’re doing. They’ve forgetten it’s about the simple things, eating Whole Foods that have protein and carbs with all of the nutrients while just eating whatever they want. It feels like an overly controlled environment that they’ve put themselves in too the point of eating disorders becoming waif thin and not having a full spectrum of proper bloodwork done by their doctors. Giving out information to the public they shouldn’t be. I miss the old content that drew me to watching in the first place. Josie seems depressed.
I am so glad you don't come out with rude comments and vulgar sayings like some RUclipsrs and I consider those that watch you have decency and a respect for that. I feel that women being vulgar is worse than men and while neither is acceptable I feel it lets down our sex. I applaud you for never upsetting your audience with vulgar language.
Good Morning Josie its Monday 6.28am here in Melbourne, looks like the birds slept in lol its funny soon we come into autumn and leaves will turn a beautiful colors, it will be time for sitting by the fire reading a good book lol well as usually love spending time with you love seeing London , when I visit it wont be the London of of girlhood many place's gone you have suburbs that did not exit once ,I think its cool you are getting IKEA its my happy place , we have the largest one in the world they say ,in hence saying this loved your coat and loved your home made soup well time for coffee husband is working from home today that makes our doggie Archie so happy that means a walkies at lunch time, well sending lots of Hugs to Both and lots of kisses to the boys Evie xoxo
I tried the ashwaganda…idk…it made me feel kinda wonky? Idk hard to explain but I def felt diff on it than not on it? 🤷♀️ I do a collagen supplement once a day. Now that I do notice a diff in my nails and hair
Ashwaganda isnt for everyone and should not be used regularly. Its long term effects are unknown. I wouldn’t be too fussed about it making you feel wonky just take a pass on it.
Have you had your thyroid checked? It’s a simple blood test done by your physician. Or even to check for anemia? Self diagnosing isn’t the way to go. Have a conversation with your doctor and look into getting a thorough evaluation and bloodwork done. It’s far better than assuming and giving out information to the public that could be harmful given that some people don’t take it as a grain of salt rather quite literally and I’d hate to see you and your husband get taken to court for giving out information that would essentially be harmful. Remember everyone is individual as are their bodies needs. Please change the narrative too this is what works for me and give a disclaimer in the captions as well as prior to providing the information that unfortunately isn’t always the correct information. I’ve noticed a change in you as well, you’ve not been the fun loving chipper person that you are in along time. I hope that everything is okay with you personally as well as those that you hold near and dear. I’ve always enjoyed your vlogs and have so much respect for you Josie. It’s okay to just enjoy yourself and the things you love as an individual whether it be a yummy mac and cheese, indulging in chocolate, being silly. Life’s not about being rigid and stiff. Have you considered taking some time away from vlogging? Do you even enjoy being a content creator anymore? It doesn’t seem like you are genuinely happy. Resetting yourself is always good. Maybe taking up a new fun hobby. Unfortunately your vlogs feel like infomercials no longer any fun to watch. Please take what I’m saying as well as others as good for thought not harshness’s. 💖🌷
Josie darling, Jo Good made her way into my feed the beginning of this year... From the first look she reminded me of your mother!! Could you all share ancestry?? When Jo showed up in your vlog the coincidence was too much to keep this thought to myself 😊
The Vitamin D level in your body has to be checked bec there are negative side effects if it gets too high (I believe it's bad for your kidneys) and therefore the dosage needs to be reduced or even suspended at times.
I don't know if you saw the "Hairy Bikers' episode recently where they visited a vertical farm I think in either Liverpool or Manchester. It was fascinating and they were providing produce from the vertical farm for locals to purchase as well as introducing really innovative ways to grow sustainably. I thought you would be interested in it as I know this is very much on interest to both you and Charlie. x
They are easy to grow from seed . In the green house then plant on . At the end of the season they will have tubers . We lift ours as mice will eat them in the garden .
Am so confused about all of this health talk. I love it when influencers preach about healthy food, etc, but on the other hand, they have no problem injecting botox into their skin for looks only.
Don’t you see that you literally just preached to the quire with this very statement? Not an actual question by the way, more rhetorical than anything. If it doesn’t actually affect you then don’t let it affect you. Have a lovely week.
Even if you get full summer sun, your latitude is too far north to get much if any vitamin D from sun exposure. You need to take at minimum 5,000 iu daily. Best to have your D level measured, 80 no/mL to over 100, depending on who you listen too. This is US measurement. Everyone is different so amount needed varies depending on many factors. Dr John Campbell is a great source.
Soo true, I live in sunny Florida and get tons of D naturally but when I'm in New England I suffer, so definitely take D if sun is not in your life during winter...turns out most of the public is extreamly low in D..
To be honest ingesting collagen won’t do anything for your body’s collagen level. It gets broken down as various amino acids for protein. I say this as someone that takes collagen almost daily and has for over a decade: it’s a fabulous protein supplement but it’s not some skin hair nails miracle the advertising wants you to believe. As someone who hates protein powders (plant and whey and casein and egg) it’s a great thing to add to my smoothies or coffee if I’m doing a morning workout
If you sleep with a mirror facing your bed, you may want to reconsider. Legend has it that spirits from the other side will suck your soul out through the mirror. There's no better time to suck someones soul out than when they're laying unprotected and unaware in bed.
Amazing Vlog! Josie, I think you found your niche. You are a naturalist, and it is fabulous. I went back and viewed other Vlogs where you’re speaking about cosmetic products and you do not have the same enthusiasm or knowledge that you do about natural products, you are very informative. This is what you should continue to focus on is natural earth, friendly, and health friendly products. I could watch you speak about these products every day. And there are so many as you mentioned from the food we eat the things we put our skin to the clothes we wear; natural and earth friendly! The majority of the skin care products are loaded with chemicals, not to mention the packaging is so earthly unfriendly. Definitely hope to see your future product recommendations healthy and favorable to insuring a happy earthly environment!
It would be super helpful to understand exactly what all these different active ingredients are and do rather than just why you like them, particularly for those of us with more sensitive skin.
LOVE your take on organic harmful chemical free journey!!! Please do go on as cancer prevention starts young! Love you Josie!!!!❤❤❤❤❤ Smart, sweet, beautiful, hard working! There's nothing you can't do!
You can do everything “right” and still be diagnosed with cancer. Prevention is a very strong word and a somewhat negative one, (in the context of cancer). Let’s not-jump into the habit of “cancer shaming” by implying an unhealthy diet or lifestyle, is the absolute cause, and had better choices been made-said individual-would be cancer free!
@ranae1530 Thank you for this - I was a regular gym goer, non alcohol drinker, non smoker, non red meat eater and I still got cancer ( caused by an abnormality of cells ). Sometimes it is just bad luck
Beautiful lady and mood board inspiration. Refreshing seeing such a beautiful take on womanhood, loving it keep going! Check out the difference a thumbnail picture makes, great content but sometimes the thumbnail looks between captures and it doesn’t grab as much attention, simple tweek and believe it will serve well on the journey forward
I wouldn’t rely on supplements too much. Vit D can be toxic and you can’t get good nutrition with them. Real whole foods. Mood can be low without sun but exercising helps. Take care rest more🦋
Honestly I think she’s trying to redirect the narrative because she’s gotten bad feedback in several vlogs this year. From the rampant consumerism of several $10-20k online shopping hauls, to Charlie droning on pontificating about things he’s not an expert in but acting like it, to making insane medical claims about food and supplements. Josie is likely stressed and not confident because her channel direction is floundering so it will just be vague statements for sympathy
@jacquelineb8183 I as well definitely think there is something wrong with where the channel is going ... wrong direction! It should be a platform of exchanging information and not of preachers and students. Whereas: who is the one who should learn before making any statements is obvious after today's vitamin D disaster.
@@jacquelineb8183it seems to be one thing after another she is going down a dangerous path. I wonder given Charlie loves to preach that this is influencing her
Wild Nutrition is not better than any regular supplement brand. The food grown vitamins thing is a marketing schtick with zero proof. There are zero peer reviewed double blind studies just the one Wild Nutrition conveniently paid for and/or conducted themselves. At any rate it’s not whole food sources of nutrients, it’s literally a supplement the same way Solgar or GNC are supplements. It’s still distilled in a lab somehow.
Stop apologising for the way you look. You look perfect with or without make up and your hair is always lovely, you are a natural beauty.
Love it when you are in your greenhouse, can’t wait to get back to mine, I’m currently with family. 💚🪴
Your hair looks best when just left alone, straight and not fussed with, in my opinion. 😊

My blood pressure immediately reduces when a Josie vlog comes on! So pleasurable to watch. And inspiring too!
Totally inspiring n lovely to watch 😊

They’ve forgetten it’s about the simple things, eating Whole Foods that have protein and carbs with all of the nutrients while just eating whatever they want.
It feels like an overly controlled environment that they’ve put themselves in too the point of eating disorders becoming waif thin and not having a full spectrum of proper bloodwork done by their doctors. Giving out information to the public they shouldn’t be.
I miss the old content that drew me to watching in the first place. Josie seems depressed.
You need a Mac and cheese , doggy cuddles and of course a Charlie ❤ take care xx
Very random question Josie but is there any update on the cinema room? I remember how cute it was from a few years ago xx
No updates but I’ll show it to you in an upcoming vlog!
Happy Sunday Josie. Agree with you on how essential Vit D and C is, the milk and soup looked great.
Love the nails. 💅
Josie!! Please how did you change your plate - I hate veg 😢😢
I tried cooking them in different ways - and also by growing them I have a new appreciation for them!
Try lots of seasoning and roasting! Salt, pepper, Paprika, honey, chilli flakes to name just a few!
Lovely vlog, Josie ❤
Wow just made a cream of broccoli soup. So good.
The milk and soup look yummy girl. Yes Vit D and C is so so important xxx
The Vitamin D level in your body has to be checked bec there are negative side effects if it gets too high (I believe it's bad for your kidneys) and therefore the dosage needs to be reduced or even suspended at times.
To everyone reading this: one can overdose vitamin D and it can cause serious health issues. = What is a safe dose of vitamin D is very individual.
Lovely video too watch.👍🥰
Ohh I have one decent window in my apt! Right into my kitchen and oooo if I could literally do a WALL of micro greens! I wonder 🤔
I too love watching Brogan. Didn’t she look gorgeous on her wedding day xxx
😀 Hi, Josie!
I don't know if you saw the "Hairy Bikers' episode recently where they visited a vertical farm I think in either Liverpool or Manchester. It was fascinating and they were providing produce from the vertical farm for locals to purchase as well as introducing really innovative ways to grow sustainably. I thought you would be interested in it as I know this is very much on interest to both you and Charlie. x
Any tips for growing dahlias? 🌺😊
I’ll be sharing my process very soon! Have you got your Tubers?
They are easy to grow from seed . In the green house then plant on . At the end of the season they will have tubers . We lift ours as mice will eat them in the garden .
Yes i have! Last year i got 4 but only 2 started to grow...@@JosieIrons
@@JosieIrons Yes i have!
Am so confused about all of this health talk. I love it when influencers preach about healthy food, etc, but on the other hand, they have no problem injecting botox into their skin for looks only.
Just do your own thing and relax.
Balance ✌🏽😅
Don’t you see that you literally just preached to the quire with this very statement?
Not an actual question by the way, more rhetorical than anything.
If it doesn’t actually affect you then don’t let it affect you.
Have a lovely week.
@katrinaandtheways3036 no need to be so emotional. I will never comment again because I will not be following her. Have a great day!
It's called Evolving.....so glad you're happy with staying the same. Good for you. Most want to learn and grow...
Love this so much! Might I ask where the machine you got to make your nut milk is from?
It looks like a Milky Plant.
Yes it’s Milky Plant ❤
Even if you get full summer sun, your latitude is too far north to get much if any vitamin D from sun exposure. You need to take at minimum 5,000 iu daily. Best to have your D level measured, 80 no/mL to over 100, depending on who you listen too. This is US measurement. Everyone is different so amount needed varies depending on many factors. Dr John Campbell is a great source.
Please consult your doctor before supplementing vitamin D, only a doctor can estimate one's own individual safe dose of vitamin D.
Soo true, I live in sunny Florida and get tons of D naturally but when I'm in New England I suffer, so definitely take D if sun is not in your life during winter...turns out most of the public is extreamly low in D..
Yes! Dr. John Cambell and Dr. Eric Berg have a lot of educational videos
I think it's the same thing with collagen. I can't take more than one teaspoon per day. Please check the instructions.
That's Feng Shui.
It's one of the few things I do within that philosophy. And have light in dark corners.
Yep, definitely no mirrors in the bedroom! Seriously. ❤
Where are you pots and wood trays from in the greenhouse ?🌼🌸🌺
Mostly from antique shops!
Happy sunday josie love your videos ❤ 😊 xx
What is the large rectangular object behind you at the foot of the bed when you show your gym outfit? Do you have a television in the bedroom?
Have you tried anything from the Naked Pharmacy? ❤
Happy sunday my dear beautiful Josie🥰,each of your videos is a breath of fresh air, love love love from Sardinia Italy💝💖
Personally I get a bit SAD in winter? I can’t wait for the clocks to change! 🎉
Thinking Of You JosieXx 😘
Loved the clip with Jo Good! She’s fabulous!
Thankyou! x
I hope things are going better for you! You mentioned something was bothering you last time, hope it has gone away.
Vitamin d and k2
❤ new vlog! Yay! 🎉
The spices that you used in the breakfast is dokka .. it is not Egyptian, it's from Gaza the city that is under fire and facing genocide 😢
I wouldn’t rely on supplements too much. Vit D can be toxic and you can’t get good nutrition with them. Real whole foods. Mood can be low without sun but exercising helps. Take care rest more🦋
I do think you worry about everything Josie, a bit too much
What lovely ladys❤
Unconfident about what ??
She's changed the title 😅
I wonder given Charlie loves to preach that this is influencing her
B12 injections might help energy levels. You don't make many bean based soups is it not a favourite?
Does Wld Nutrition ship to US?
Wild Nutrition is not better than any regular supplement brand. The food grown vitamins thing is a marketing schtick with zero proof. There are zero peer reviewed double blind studies just the one Wild Nutrition conveniently paid for and/or conducted themselves. At any rate it’s not whole food sources of nutrients, it’s literally a supplement the same way Solgar or GNC are supplements. It’s still distilled in a lab somehow.
Do you mean that you are out of breath and you don't know what to do anymore ? Maybe you only need a break to think about it ? I feel like that.
perhaps get a sleep apnea test done🌷
Would love a few links where Charlie gets his clothes.
