    LET ME KNOW what you think in the comments? Too hard to use? Looks great? etc. Comments help our channel grow, and I respond to all comments at this time. And thanks for all the support during my Hospital stay lately.

    I've recently started watching your videos because I get called to do drywall projects for friends. I'm retired but love to stay busy and dry wall finishing is what everyone sees at the end of a project building or repairing walls. I have learned a lot from you and appreciate you sharing your 35 years of expertise. And... Thank You for your service!

    Just found your channel in the last few days and find it very informative. I have done a fair amount of drywalling, taping and spackling. Worked for a contractor many years ago and learned the basics and over time have done this type of work on my own and friends houses. I now understand the different types of compounds and their uses from your videos. I am working on a project now, converting a garage space to a bedroom and bathroom and will certainly use what I have learned from you.Thank you for all the information you are sharing especially all the tips and tricks.

    Hello! I'm trying to clean up some really ugly corners in my house where there is a very visible seam at the edge of the corner bead. Would you recommend I stand it down and follow the steps in this video, or is there something else i should? Thank you!

    • @ThatKiltedGuyDIY
      @ThatKiltedGuyDIY  Месяц назад

      Make sure the corner bead isn’t trying to lift or delaminate first and if it is, address that. Otherwise yes, sand it, and recoat it

    I am a painter and fix drywall repairs all the time with easy sand 20 min mud. Another painter I work with suggested Durabond for large repairs. What is Durabond and when would I use it ?

    • @ThatKiltedGuyDIY
      @ThatKiltedGuyDIY  4 года назад

      Durabond is just a harder form of 20 minute mud. I've only used it once, partly since the drywall supply companies here, and the big box stores don't even carry it. Only True value does, but I prefer easy sand hot mud as you can sand it a little, but durabond, not at all. They both work just the same though. I did a video showing that the lightweight hot mud dries very hard, doesn't crack and barely shrinks. That's all you need.

      Run the butt joint and corner bead together as one.

      @@ThatKiltedGuyDIY thank you I did watch that video. It looks like great stuff, especially that wider one. Problem is I've already bought the vinyl corners and had them delivered to the house so I'm kinda stuck using them for this house.
      The only video I have watch was from another RUclipsr who was using some very expensive spray adhesive before applying the corner. That's when I came back to your channel.
