@@joelthorpe4170 This is not an excuse. They have been deliberately prevaricating. If the PL were not protecting their cash cow the Sly 6 clubs, including Man City. All they had to do was to impose deadlines for submission of information for specific time periods, not everything at once. Everton have had two punishments for 2 different time periods. Then you impose increasing points sactions and fines, for each deadline missed. Now THAT would focus their action, and it's normal best practise to prevent exactly this sort of prevarication and stalling. Fat chance of the PL doing that though, they're just going for the easy targets

Everton's case is a simple numbers game. The charges against City are allegations of systematic fraud over many years. Most of their charges aren't about failing FFP, it's the refusal to provide financial statements and other documents and refusing to co-operate. It's a far more complex case that City are trying to kick down the road, but hopefully they'll eventually get what they deserve.

The Premier League should be proud of and wholeheartedly embrace Everton for building their superb new stadium!
Yet the Toffees are asking no favours, only equal treatment!
The Premier League and its commissions are hardly showing any of those things.
Everton's well grounded appeal can surely wipe out that extra 2 points deduction!
And then begins the real test of the Premier League and its commissions, where their integrity is at stake:
handle and sanction the cases of Chelsea and especially Manchester City with the same principles as with Everton and Nottingham Forest.
If and when they do it, the former should get around 30 points deduction and the latter around 250 points deduction (or relegation to League 1).

It kind of seems like they're just pretending to be strict about FFP just to make it look like they're doing something, by taking aim at the smaller clubs who won't put up a fight.
Because they're afraid to actually go after City.
Nobody gives a damn about Everton and Forest spending a few extra quid, it's the team that bought their way to the top that they should be focusing on, but funnily enough that gets put on the long finger.
And going after Everton twice in the same season just goes to show that they _could_ charge City for individual breaches, one by one... But they won't.
    Definitely some corruption going on.
