To be fair is really just a "strategy game" but with hand to hand combat. The game works more on a sequence based rhythm and makes for a more unpredictable gameplay, but since many people are not used to such gameplay style, I can understand the fustration.

This ost I remember using my custom character and fighting Frieza on destroyed planet namek and I loved the climax of the fight with the computer on hardest difficulty having a beam struggle to finish off the fight. Fun stuff.
God damn, I remember playing this game against a friend of mine. When you did a certain thing, can't quite remember, you got a choice to 'block', 'dodge', or 'counterattack' an enemy special with your own special, but since I knew for a fact I was never going to out button-mash my friend, counterattacking was out. So in battle I'd end up dodging pretty much all the time, and got so good at the little minigame to do so that my friend started getting impressed, since apparently no-one he faced dodged attacks as consistently as I did, and since I never counterattacked him I usually had enough ki to do so, since counterattacking consumed the most, and sometimes I'd even have enough to immediately fire off my own special afterwards with his ki reduced so he couldn't do anything but take it. Never before had I managed to take my friends strengths and turn them into weaknesses, and just listening to the songs I had set to my custom character brought back them memories.

This game was a piece of heaping shit. But at least it had one of the best soundtracks in the DBZ game series. Still....If I ever went back to play this again, it would only be for the music and the roaming the world map, which I loved and thought was fun getting to see where everything was at in the DB universe.
