Thank you for answering questions about being a single co-parent. It's evident that everyone has their perspective or experience of coparenting when single. However, it can be a struggle also to parent when you are living as a couple/family. As long as the parents and the child(ren) can find respectful compromises and harmony in their relationship, there will be a minimum of struggle. It looks like you, Scarlett and her Dad are doing good.Great job.
Feel better Melinda❤ Melinda you have been great with Scarlet, just be positive for yourself as well it helps, I know it gets hard sometimes but you can do it. Enjoyed❤
Melinda you are doing a great job with Scarlet. I hope you and your mom start feeling better soon. A lot of military families feel the way you do when their partners are deployed and they're raising their kids. Maybe you can find a support group where you can help each other out. Maybe your mom and Halie can add that to their project. Also remember to breathe ,you do you and who cares what others think. Go grab some of your siblings and go on a hike and watch a sunset. There's always a clean slate waiting for you tomorrow. Take care of you and Scarlet. Enjoy the Holidays
Im a single mom with zero help from the other half i work two jobs just to put food and roof over our heads. Kids dont care what they have but will always remember who was there for them
Melinda, I was a single parent for my two kids while they were growing up. I didn’t cry in front of them and in my opinion it’s good to let them see you cry occasionally, otherwise, they think that you are ‘super mom’ and they don’t have to take your feelings into account. When my kids saw that I had limits then they were more careful with how they treated me.
I chose to be a solo foster mum taking on the kids that are hard to place because of their angry behavior. You are a wonderful, strong woman and mum. Scarlett is a lovely little girl, so polite and kind to everyone around her. Even though you have a large supportive family when you need to make a decision, talk through an issue and even what to do once your child has gone to bed is often lonely. Parenting is more often than not something two people decide to do together. Unlike myself or other people who decide to have a child without a partner you don't go into it alone but life happens and you may split from your childs father/mother or your partner may pass away. Melinda just with this one video you have given solo parents a voice and the reassurance that in time things will get better. That is a major accomplishment and I hope you give yourself credit for that. ❤❤❤
It is hard as hell! Trying to balance everything all by yourself. When you feel that way take a step back. And think about all the hard accomplishments you have accomplished all by yourself. Ana give yourself a pat on the back and be proud of how far you have come. And that will help you get through the rough spots. Trust me I did it for 19 years. You got this momma. You are strong and a warrior ❤
It is ok to cry in front of your kids. It’s good for them to see that you are human too. You don’t have to tell them the exact problem (keep it age appropriate) but it’s good for them to see how to handle emotions. Crying resets your nervous system. So it’s a good thing.
Scarlett will be the success she will get you out that situation god is working for you. Scarlett you will be successful and you will be able to do things many Cant. Praying for wealth, happiness and success think long-term . Praying for me and you
Scarlett is so grown now. Kids are like sponges at this age. She hit a growth spurt and has your dimple. Mini you! I totally understand where you are coming from. I was a teen Mom. Currently 46. and all I can say is, You’ve got this! You’re a great Mom, Melinda. ❤
Wonderful video, Melinda ❤ You are a beautiful person and a great mom to Scarlett ‼️🤩👏🏻 You are so kind, patient, and loving as well as always putting your daughter first 🙏 I hope that you feel better soon😢 I also wish you and Scarlett a Happy Thanksgiving and fun weekend 🦃🍂🧡🍁🎶
This should have been a video. When she was at her dad's, she shouldn't know half of this information it can and probably will stress her out whether she tells you or not, she will be thinking about these things🫣
I am a old lady who raised my two boys alone. You will make mistakes. You will get frustrated. You will also have not so good moments with Scarlet. But it is all okay. You are not a story book Mom.You are a real Mom who will do anything for your child. The best thing you can do is be good to yourself. Make time for yourself. Dont be hard on yourself. It is the small things in life children appreciate the most. God Bless you and Scarlett. You are doing a good job.
My oldest daughter has seen me break down a lot and she will wit there and hug me just like I do for her. She knows momma is humane and that emotions are normal and that some days we have bad days and some days we have good days and that is ok
I was a single mom since my sons dad died when he was a year old … I can relate 100 percent I would work 2 to 3 jobs for years and years he’s 20 now you will be ok ❤
Funny thing is I'm married and still had the same things you deal with, of course my husband's job had him everywhere except home! So single parenting/ parenting is all the same! You don't run everything with the other parent all the timeand you have to just make those calls yourself! Parenting
Sorry but your childs father is in the picture. He helps you raise Scarlett so you're really not a single parent. Youre s oarent that just happens to be single. There is a huge difference. I was a single parent. I raised my child alone without a single bit of help. I personally find it disrespectful to call yourself a single parent when your childs father is also raising your child.
Making tome for the kids as they grow. Just think of it a minute at a time. I felt like a single mom and I had unrealistic goals for myself fuelled by the ex telling me I was useless. A counselor suggested the extra minutes. It worked as I was more intentional with the extra time I found.
What happen i thought you Lacey the kids where doing great😊😊Spend time togather hang out with each other Thats sooo crazy going miss both of you hang out togather 😢😢😢lol
Im a single mum of 4. You coparent and you have so many people who help babysit and help financially and only have one kid, considering your parents privileges this whole video is such an eye roll
Crazy Middles addressed it with Lacey. She moved back in with her parents to save money and for Becks to be around her grandparents. Melinda & Lacey are Pretty close cousins with alot in common
Just a guess here - perhaps with the new car (and loan) that Lacey has, along with whatever other expenses (rent?, food, etc), it might have just been too much for her with what she may be earning. Cheaper to live with her parents - and plus, she nearly always has a babysitter for Bexley when she needs one.
Who watches Scarlett when you work? Just mom and dad, or siblings too? Why did Lacey move out? What happened to the garage? I notice that you don't film a lot, do jobs pay more than the content creation? Me time is best when you put the babies to sleep sometimes. One or two songs, bath and relaxing.
Single mom here. It’s hard I’m Not going to lie it’s so hard, needs friends that either have kids or have want to be around kids. Hang out with them If he can afford it a babysitter
Melinda you can do this. I can see you love being a mom. In my eyes Lacey not so much, its to much for her to handle... You are a good mom and you will be where you want to be. Someday you will have a complete Family. Enjoy
You really did not need to be negative regarding Lacey. They are both great Moms, remember Melinda has been a mother a few years more than Lacey and they both have different personalities. Negative comments aren't needed to compare two different individuals.
Totally unnecessary to have said that. Lacey seems to be an excellent mother. Lacey, seems much happier and Bexley , seems to be happier too! Bexley now has lot's of aunt's, uncle's and her grandparents on the daily. In my opinion this subject matter is one which a child shouldn't be a part of. Children process things much differently than adults, often feeling it's their fault their parents are struggling with.
I have the right to comment. I'm on the outside looking in. I don't look at the surface level or hear the surface either. Look at facial expressions to comments. Lacey needs to grow up. Of course see wants to go back home because of G ma G pa Aunts and Uncles because it Relieves the burden off of Lacey. Lacey, wants people to do it for her. It's all about Lacey first...
