This recording had already been present on RUclips with its score, but for the purposes of a piano channel/playlist I found it more fitting to use the piano reduction instead of orchestral score.
Martinu = neglected genius. Firkusny = genius. LIszt influenced Smetana a lot and this sounds so Lisztian at times, too.. Reminds me of Annees de Pelerinage etc.Just indicative to the range of music that the Czechs drew on: Italian Baroque, Haydn, Schubert, the Germans, particularly Brahms, Lizst, Chopin, Strauss etc.
