    Why do we add salt at the end?

      Because of the cheese . Cheese can be salty. So you might not need as much salt

      Bechamel
      Med heat
      4Tb Butter
      4Tb flour
      3 1/2-4 Cups warm whole milk
      Garlic powder(about a teaspoon give or take)
      Crushed red pepper( up to you, depends how hot you want it)
      Turn heat down to low to add cheese
      Parmesan grated 1/4 cup
      Gouda grated 1 cup
      Pepper Jack grated 1/2 cup
      Salt( to taste)
      Take off the heat add to pasta

      I think it does. Really can't tell the difference
