- DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! - This developed a fault where there would be loads of circular banding across the image with strange coloured blobs that would come and go in the middle of the frame. No damage to the camera at all. RumCam refused to stand behind their product and would only offer for me to buy replacement parts at a reduced rate. This camera has been returned and replaced with a GoPro.
Testing the Runcam Thumb Pro 4k v2 on my 5 inch freestyle drone. Recorded in 4k at 30fps xview then put through GyroFlow and DaVinci Resolve.

Nice flight! I love the quality on this little guy. I just started running one myself. Nice job.
Thanks! 👍 It's a great little camera, as long as it's sunny outside!
Such a beautiful spot! I do wish you would have explored it a bit more tho.
I was trying to keep to one area to avoid the animals that are up there :) plus it's less distance to walk when I crash it!
smooth grading! i like it!
I really have to watch some grading tutorials, mine look always a bit artificial
Thanks! It's the first time I've tried to use LUTs in Davinci for the grading, I think the saying "less is sometimes more" applies here! :)
@@FPSteVe did you buy any luts or do you use the stock? nay recommendations?
I've just opened my last project and turns out i didnt even use LUTs! just messed with the curves a little. For this video i think i only changed the brightness/contrast etc. I've only just started using Davinci so i think this video was done in Premiere too.
@@FPSteVe alright, thanks a lot . do you use flat colors on your thumb or the regular version?
Just the normal colours :)
No nd filter? Either way, footage looks great coming from a runcam..
Can't remember for that video but I do have one on most of the time
Brrrppwwww❤❤
nice colors
Thanks!
FOV v2 looks better. Owned the v1 before and this one looks like a great improvement.
wait wait wait.... what is going on here? almost any other video from this 4k v2 version has a milky white haze when sunlight comes into the front direction, but here i can see nothing. looks like better glas lens. also the fov looks much higher than in almost any other video. after gf edit there is in most cases a shrink down from 150° to a lower number which i cant see here. sometiimes i notice a zoom in and a color change behjind the trees. if you can do all this in davinci you must be a professional. but this changes my my about the 4k v2. this is really enough quality for me, but i never saw such a good edit, maybe from adventure fpv. thanks for the video, i think it saved me a bit money....
I feel like I've got the GF settings a bit better in the latest videos, nothing special going on with davinci either. Just editing and a bit of levels :) I can share my GF settings if you want to try them? The biggest thing I found was using the 4k xview setting on the camera, anything else didn't look as good to me.
@@FPSteVe yes, i will give them a try if you can share them. sure better than mine. :-)
Have the camera set to 4k xview then in Gyroflow use the 4k xv lens profile then i've got the following:
FOV: 1
Smoothness: 0.171
Zooming Speed: 15 seconds (Zoom speed in this video was something like 1.5 but if you're doing freestyle stuff put it to 15 seconds)
Lens Correction Strength: 100%
Everything else is default from what i can remember, hopefully that helps!
Oh i also have the shutter locked to 1/60 on the camera and use the ND filters.
@@FPSteVe thank you
@@rolliseventeen i think xview makes the difference. I never used that setting because I didn´t knew whats the difference, it just makes the entire FOV bigger and the image doesnt seem so narrow after gyroflow
Are you flying in angle mode?
Nope that's acro mode :)
What is your sharpness on thumb pro setting?
Default settings :)
