Several do! There is a German metal band At Vance who has covered several ABBA tracks. There also are compilation albums on RUclips called something like Sweden Goes Metal that contain metal covers of pop song hits from Swedish artists. You should check these out.
I have now lived long enough to hear a torch version of Winner Takes It All, a metal version of Gimme Gimme Gimme and a hard hair slinging rock version of Does Your Mother Know. My life is complete.
It just doesn't get any better than a heavy metal version of "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme!!!" This isn't my kind of music, but he had a great voice, exquisitely interpreted, and I really enjoyed it at age 76, so that's an ultimate compliment! Talent shows. ABBA deserves so much credit for their timeless music. Swedes are incredible people.... I even married one!!

Abba was one of my Dad's favorite bands. We would listen to and Dance to Abba when I was young. Dad has since passed and I still listen and dance to Abba and all of the wonderful memories come back to me to keep. Since then I have listened and danced to Abba with my children and now my grandchildren. 💞

Once again, you're reminded how much ahead of their time they were. Each and everyone of these, only slighty uppdated, versions sound like modern day original songs that could have been released yesterday, when they are, infact, 40 years old classic pop songs. WOW!!! That was amazing to watch, not one dud in the bunch. They should all be proud of their performances and to think how relevant the music of ABBA is almost 50 yrs later in today's youth just boggles the mind.
There is just something about ABBA that it is actually hard to cover their songs unless you do some heavy autotune in the studio. The worst thing is if you try to "modify" their songs to make it sound modern like nowadays trash music. ABBA is on a different music genre itself and that's what makes it LEGENDARY.

While I didn't really like all these performances, it does show just how brilliant ABBA was as song writers and not just flashy performers. There is a reason they had so many big hits. Pure talent. Their music will live on.

Laura Vargas was singing and going through emotions like she was relieving some painful moments of her life again. And we are going thru that experience with her. I was so afraid she was going to break down and not finish her song. I glad she made it thru. What an intense experience must have been for her!

While I didn't really like all these performances, it does show just how brilliant ABBA was as song writers and not just flashy performers. There is a reason they had so many big hits. Pure talent. Their music will live on.

Laura Vargas was singing and going through emotions like she was relieving some painful moments of her life again. And we are going thru that experience with her. I was so afraid she was going to break down and not finish her song. I glad she made it thru. What an intense experience must have been for her!
