I watched this video on my TV today, and I have never enjoyed the parade as much as I did today. No commercials, no gratuitous commentary, just the people enjoying the parade. Thank you so much for this.

The reality vs the TV is such a stark difference. But seeing all of these families and communities still enjoying something like this is very heartwarming.
As a 13 year old teenager I didn't care for this and my Mom would wake me up at 9 am make me watch Macy's Parade saying that it was only once a year. And so I'd watch it for 3 hours...Of course all you want to do on a holiday is sleep right? But I'm glad she did that because I've been watching the parade ever since except when the pandemic hit. So ever since she's been gone I've always wished she was still with me watching this and she would've enjoyed this. Thanks Mom...😢🕯️🙏 I love and miss you❤️😘 very much 💖 Happy Holidays
We were on 33rd street Broadway, seeing Macy's corners from South side. And, we did not see much below heads of people in front of us. And often people showed their frustration and aggression. And the police did not help. There were moments of a Crowd crush prone situation, people were forced into sidewalks of fences and scaffolding poles. You would get the best view from YT Action Kid or the TV channels.
Great. Beauftiful. Americans present beautiful parades. I had the privilege of watching an independence day parade. It was great. They are proud of their country.

I noticed that when the Disney Wish float got closer to Herald's Square, most of the characters riding on it had got off and were walking with the other Cast Members, including Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Moana, and her fellow Disney Princesses that had their husbands with them, being Cinderella & Prince Charming, Tiana & Naveen, Rapunzel & Flynn, and Jasmine & Aladdin. Now I see how they did it: A back door on the float's "stern". Easy to get on, easy to get off. Clever Macy's. Clever Disney.

I mean, it's for the Thanksgiving holiday, which is when most people start getting ready for Christmas. We did get kickass weather this year, and that isn't always the case, but the show must go on.

when i was a kid, i used to be in parade's. I was a majorette. I LOVED the cute little outfits for sure, sequins, satin's, big plumy feathers and little vests and fancy trimmings.. but the best part about being a majorette was the athleticism. The SKILL SET of twirling a baton, doing an around the world from one hand to another in a flash, tossing the baton in the air and spinning to catch it, marching like a filly with pointed toes, twirling the baton under the legs and making people gasp at catching it.. how come we don't see these skills anymore? I see females out here.. majorettes used to always be with the bands and I SEE females in front of bands but they're literally doing nothing..?! Anyways.. i really hope that baton twirling comes back.. because it's a really great skill to learn and have, and great fun to watch.. They were an asset to every parade.
