Copied from wikipedia about the orgin
"The phrase first appears in Antoine Galland's Les Mille et une nuits (1704-1717) as Sésame, ouvre-toi (English, "Sesame, open yourself").[1] In the story, Ali Baba overhears one of the 40 thieves saying "open sesame". His brother later cannot remember the phrase, and confuses it with the names of grains other than sesame, becoming trapped in the magic cave."

It originates in the story of alibaba and the 40 thieves. The cave they were trying to open had a sesame-plant growing beside it. The sesame opening and giving access to it's fruit is a metaphor for the cave opening and giving access to it's treasure.

Written by an Arab. A Syrian author. Im an Arab my self and "Open Says Me" doesnt make sense in arabic, but "Open Sesame" makes sense. Its a command for "Sesame" to open the door. In Arabic its literary like this "افتح يا سمسم". "Sesame" in Arabic is "Simsim".
