- Beatles Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp, Las Vegas October 2013. He is having a Master Class in Finger Picking, Beatles style, and showing the GAGDAD tuning method. Enjoy this amazing music.
This is very inspirational to me. The first time I heard this was in a small conference room at the O'Hare Hilton. I was standing maybe 10 feet away from Laurence while he played this. It has stuck with me for the last 20 years. It's really a great arrangement.
So glad you enjoyed it. It blew me away to sir at arm's length away from pure genius!
That tone!! He’s the god of nail-less steel string guitar playing
Extraordinarily brilliant. Paul sure knew what he was doing when he brought him into Wings!! He treats Beatles song with such great care and respect that it's moving.
Laurence is fabulous, but lest we forget, Paul let him go after 1 album and just 3 yrs of touring....
don't get no better than that , you nailed it !!!!
Fookin' GREAT! Thanks Mr. Juber. And thanks for posting this whoever you are in the Universe of RUclips. LIFE IS WORTH LIVING.
Kurt Vonnegut: "I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, The Beatles did." Amen.
FINNALLY found a person who can play this correct you are very talented sir you inspire me
Abso-Damn-Effing-Lutely Stunning! Seldom, if ever, have I been so captivated by someone playing a Beatles tune. In fact, I usually stop the playback after a few moments, but this Grabbed me, despite the first few seconds of instructional commentary. This is simply Amazing!!!!
Thanks for your comments, this was filmed at Fantasy Rock Camp in Las Vegas - the whole experience was mind-blowing. This was a breakout session for finger picking, Beatles style. An amazing few hours, for sure. So was jamming with 3 members of Wings...
This is guitar playing that i love
He is a master, pure and simple.
Agreed.
Watching Lawrence Juber play guitar is like Watching a spider spin a web.Its amazing.
Yup
wonderful player and arrangement
genuine genius fluid perfection
This is very inspirational to me. The first time I heard this was in a small conference room at Chýně near Prague.
Mind is blown!
a millions applauds for you sir
Breathtaking. Wow. Dazzling.
Thank you, it was amazing sitting at his feet watching and listening.
Awesome. You made a cool song way cool!!!
Beautiful.
Brilliant stuff :)
I could play just like that an hour after picking up the guitar for the first time!
Such strange, strange beautiful music. Lennon was simply amazing.
Awesome...clear....nice....cool ripss...
Mesmerizing.
Fantastic
Awesome !
A master guitar player.
Amazing
Wonderful
Holy Shit! Seriously.
Cê loko, irmão - mandou muito!
Struggling along nicely with it, but, bah- me arthuritus is givin' iz some jip. The fellas got fingers like a Lancashire cotton loom.
Brilliant!!!
"This is why I need the cutaway." Yes, sir --- I do see! That's tremendous.
Nice Video, I wish he did a masterclass like that on all his repertoire. Have to say though the tuning is DADGAD or D Modal not GAGDAD
cool use of the droney layout
I need to practice.
Amazing. I wish there were tab for this excellent version somewhere online.
Anyone know of where tab for this might be?
ROB HASENWINKLE Just get a free version of "transcribe" and have at it, brother...Then you can modify your comment with a link to your own performance and the tab thrown in as a bonus! ;D
I always played this in standard tuning, but this sounds fantastic.
Anything Laurence Juber plays sounds amazing.
The tuning is the smaller part - his touch is sublime
Too much ;) Fab! Gear!
DADGAD power!!...
BADDAD power
Good ol' GAGDAD hahahahaha
Fantastic. It's very interesting to compare this version with Bill Frisel's one. Both are top, but Frisel's variations are more interesting to listen. But I must say he plays Strat...
While Friesel & band are talented - the talent is simply not near Juber's level.
You mustn't confuse or compare the two.
crazy how he can make the guitar sound like a sitar
Magics of dadgad 👀
The older I get, the more voices I find on my guitar.
This was wings guitar player from ‘78 to ‘80 I think. Guess he enjoyed playing with Paul
Proving yet again that rock musicians are the best pound-for-pound musicians out there.
He's a classically trained and university educated musician first - rock was one of many forays on the side.
Need a cut-away
Thanks to the French guitarist Pierre Bensusan who wrote this DADGAD version15 years ago
+Jarbot Matthias C'est tres interessant! Merci pour l'information.
This is news to Laurence who released this arrangement 16 years ago.
yeah i love bensusan, but don't think he had anything to do with this
DADGAD, not GAGDAD
Are the Beatles fantastic or what
How could anyone possibly give this amazing player and song a thumbs down? There are a bunch of idiots in the world. Most all of them are also cowards as it's so easy to be a hater on the Internet. Just a bunch of insecure idiots.Very scary. Fantastic job Mr. Juber.
calm down, clown
@@user-if5cs4tv3x Pipe down c
@@cahillgreg "play the flute, greg"
Seems like learning to play that is like solving complex math problems repeatedly...
At times he looks like he's reaching for the whammy bar
Fantastic
never thought of attempting this one on acoustic, and i won't!!!! fabulous!!!
awsome thanks again!
