The older you get the more you will appreciate birds, flowers/plants, mellow music, etc.... It's a strange phenomena but it's real... 😂 ...... There is no reason to stop hiking when you have children... Nurse your babies so there's no carrying faux breast milk (aka formula) and just pack baby on the front until it's time to pack baby on your back... 🙂 Children can go along with you wherever you go... Humans have been having children and moving along without skipping a beat since we've existed... Can't wait to see this little one! You are SOOOO FORTUNATE....❤ I wish you all the BEST and look forward to watching this little one hitting the trails right away!

Or maybe because I'm a redneck and grew up around both. 7th generation Floridian, so I've been around gators plenty. They just want to be left alone to sunbathe. But I've spent time in BFE Tennessee and my parents live on a mountain up there where bear walk right by their back door. Doesn't stop me from heading out and just walking across the mountains to explore. Biggest fear is getting shot if you trespass without knowing or stumble upon a still site.

It would be so cool if you and Kelly hays hiked together sometime! I follow both of you & one girl from Arkansas, you from Alabama. 🎉 I would love watching yall. The slow mo with the music while the dragonflies danced around was so beautiful. Love it so much!

Congratulations! And yeah, I can relate to the "all-day sickness" comment. I'm currently 25 weeks along myself and the first trimester was absolutely brutal on me (I had HG). There is no way I would have been able to go hiking even if I wanted to - even going to the grocery store was too much. Thankfully, my nausea has pretty much gone away now (I'm still queasy at times though), but now I'm dealing with a lot of body pain instead so hiking is still a no-go. I envy that you're still able to go out and enjoy nature. But I only have to put up with this for a little more than 3 months, then me and bub will go out adventuring together, which I very much look forward to.
As for the gaters... yikes! Even watching them on video made me feel anxious. That seems like an excellent way to forget about the nausea for a while though, haha. Maybe I should have tried that in my first trimester too, haha. There are no gaters or crocs around here though, except for in the zoo, so no luck there.
Anyway, hang in there. The nausea will subside! I don't know how far along you are, but they say that the second trimester is "the golden trimester" when you'll feel much better and more energetic so it seems like the perfect time for you to squeeze in some more hikes if you're up to it.

Jessica, I think motherhood will be very good to you and I feel that you are going to be such a good mom! You have so much outdoor knowledge to teach your children. It will be an incredible time for you.
Nice video, great quality and it seems that you have added a calmness to the videos since you have been expecting. Good luck and can't wait to see the next one.
Hike safe, Hike strong, Have fun!

BTW, did you ever find the all glass hummingbird feeders?

My favorite part of my trip to the Everglades in January was the slog through the cypress dome. It’s amazing! Great job filming that anhinga swallowing the fish!
And best of all, congratulations to you and your husband!
