Cool fact. Iron fist doesnt affect sucker punch. Just looked this up because i was wondering what moves Meowscarada had that would be affected. Apparently in Japanese sucker punch is called surprise attack. Edit: the answer is Meowscarada learns no moves affected by Iron Fist. Edit 2: I've been corrected, it gets thunderpunch, I missed that.
Some other translation weirdness: Ampharos can't elarn tail glow because in Japanese it's "Firefly light" The reason why Pokemon like Zapdos and Shiftry can learn Heat Wave, is because in Japanese it's called "Hot Wind" which also explains why it triggers wind rider
@timtam4596 it's nice that Zapdos gets that. I often run it on him along with weather ball. I like to use it with a rain team, if it's not raining I can always heat wave. Since it gets thunder and hurricane and weather ball, it's perfect for rain along with an assault vest.
@celeBim251 you're very welcome. I was like "does he even learn any of those moves?" Saw sucker punch on his list and double checked incase knock off worked (it doesn't either)
Hey Tobin! I saw your recent update video, and I wanted to start commenting some nice stuff so you can know that there are still those of us who adore your videos! I like drawing while listening, but your videos have stellar editing too, and always end up making me laugh. As soon as you have new vids come out I immediately add them to my watch later list, but I usually end up watching it within 24 hours of adding it because they're so fun!
Yep, in Japanese "Sucker Punch" is just known as "Surprise Attack", its not actually a punching move at all. It's only in English where people freak out that Electrode can learn it, heh.
@@darkmask5933I honestly think it should still be just because u can still use your fists for a surprise attack and if a Pokémon that gets sucker punch has iron fist they are definitely using their fists to do it. Same with close combat. I have no idea how that’s not boosted by iron fist especially when in like the gen 4 games it literally showed a bunch of fists punching the opponent.
To be honest you could use immunity on a Poison type for some crazy mind games. You can tera away from Poison without having to worry about being poisoned, even if you switch back in on toxic spikes. Your opponent will know this... but you _know_ that they know that. It makes the poison type a more tempting tera choice, and you can really try to make them think one way or the other.
I thought this was gonna be completely different… I expected that you would start out by Dylan picking his Mon and then you who didn’t know yours would have to go with it and vise versa but I do like this
12:55 wait Vaporeon it's Scald back :o But speaking about scald fun fact: ID dlc gave it to 2 pokemon I found pretty ridiculous being Raikou and Emboar
For a moment I thought they were swapping abilitys So if one chose middle and the other guys middle is slaking then the one that chose will have a pikemon with truant
Video idea: Randomised starters and you choose the opponents Pokémon. After you both have 6 Pokémon you can choose the items and ability's for the opponent this is to give the opponent the worst team possible! Like to let them see this 👇

8:57 Sucker punch isn't boosted by iron fist, the only move Meow gets that does is thunder punch

Parental bond does work!! Also immunity on poison type should’ve been rerolled.
I mean, if they Terra to a none poison Tera that would be the only use it would have
I'm hoping this gets more likes so it gets seen

Parental bond does work in Scarlet and violet
Love the soul link starters.
These videos could really use the description of the abilities on screen for those unaware of what they do.
Yeah I have no clue what Technician does so I didnt know why they where hyped on it
@@owenbridgers boosts the power of weaker moves
@@owenbridgersany move under 60 base power is multiplied by 1.5
google it
It would be nice. I know almost every ability by this point, but it would help people to be able to pause on the second with the description

Always love the videos, man! Keep being you!
finally some entertainment stead of the same mons as usual ,, love the videos ,, the different selection is A+
I thought this was gonna be completely different… I expected that you would start out by Dylan picking his Mon and then you who didn’t know yours would have to go with it and vise versa but I do like this
Parental bond does work it has in previous videos
Pretty sure parental bond does indeed work
This is a pretty cool format, SeemsGood
That was a crazy battle! 🤣😂🤣
Let’s goooooo
for anyone wondering, this was recorded before Dylan's subathon.
6:22 -> I
tobin said that vaporeon is fun
Keep making great content! I watch your videos all the time & hope the new year brings you more subscribers!
Great video, next time I think it would be fun if they had the same ability linked in each slot
got Christmas present with a bit of delay, got to see some stall plays to add a bit of competitive flavor :)
I love to see new concepts of "and then we battle"!
I thought I was having a minor stroke reading the title today
We need more double battle content :D
The wish protect was an awful thing to watch. “I hate playing this way” and you see Dylan’s face react to you saying that.
What did you call Vaporeon 😂😂
Dylan unfortunately won the rng lottery
Had to take a break from Dylans stream to come show some love to other people.
12:55 wait Vaporeon it's Scald back :o
But speaking about scald fun fact: ID dlc gave it to 2 pokemon I found pretty ridiculous being Raikou and Emboar
They both had scald in gen 8
The worlds finest duo back at it again. Ya gotta love it
i see torterra i click
Parental bond does work. Just no animation
You should do this again but as a double battle
So funny I named my tinkaton HAMMAH in my play through. She just looks like a Hannah with a hammer 😅
Am I the only one who noticed Dylan wearing an NF shirt?
Content idea!! Could you mod the game to where every pokemon can tera? Put a little spin on the meta. Maybe also randomize the tera type later on
I have an idea for a video
Telling your opponent one starters name and make them choose if he want to risa for the next one from side to side
My new resolution for your channel Tobin is to post a comment each time flooding it with positivity.
Did anyone notice berserk was misspelled
immunity on a poison type shouldve been rerolled but probably still wouldnt have changed much unless it was cracked
w tobin videos
Any and all abilities work
1:37 parental bond works Tobin Sabotage Dylan
You should do a video where you pick a starter and they also pick one but you swap abilities
Another great video, guys!
WOOO
Iron fist doesn't boost sucker punch
Im so sorry Tobes, i can already see pepple saying you cheated..
How about you do the abilities for your opponent?

Technician and tera don't work that way. The Technician boost would be first so it would still only go to 60 bp
