I had been chasing a very simular problem on my o2 f150. after 2 minutes of your video i paused it and went to look under my hood. My fuse box was there so I found the manual and quickly determined that my problem was a simple 10 amp fuse. Though our problems were quite different in the end your approach and video was instrumental in quickly solving my problem. I cannot say thank you enought.
Glad to see you back on RUclips. You're doing the right thing taking time for the family. If we have to sacrifice by not getting to see as many videos as we were used to, then that's what we have to do. I almost always enjoy these videos and usually learn something new to boot.
I don’t know if you can give me any sort of help on an issue with a 2007 F250. Right stop/turn stuck on. Tried pulling all the fuses and relay. No change. Tried same trailer with my Ranger and it works just fine.
What about if the trailer lights work fine but the turn signal and brake lights on truck do not? 3rd brake light works . Truck tail lights are on but nothing when I got brake or turn signal. When trailer is hooked up the trailer lights work as they should. So I have to keep a trailer hooked up till I figure this out. 2001 power stroke. F250. Any help appreciated
Hi Daniel, I have a 2003 F150 w/a 7-pin plug I'm replacing. I've tested all the wires (green, yellow, blue, orange, black/grn trcr, and white) and identified what they do, except for the black w/grn trcr. If you had the same arrangement, an figured out what that one does, could you please tell me? Thanks, Tim
Do you happen to know where the 12V auxiliary power is sourced from? Is there a relay or fuse in the same location under the hood or elsewhere? I have an '04 Ex 6.0 PS and every other pin has the appropriate voltage on my 7 pin connector except the 1 o'clock location for 12V aux power.
I know I'm a few years late, but I'm chasing the same problem now on a 2002 Harley Davidson F150. That's a lot of corrosion in your wiring. That's what happens when people use that kind of connectors. I like to use the one's with heat shrink tubing to keep the moisture out. Thanks for the video, I'm gonna do what you did and hope that I get lucky lol.
after-market, "garbagey" who'd have guessed! just use self sealing/heat crimp butt splices/heat shrink. alternate force good silicone ssealenat through from side to sid e then heat shrink it down. one cured no water zone :0
got question for you on f150 truck. was it worth it? im facing similar decision but not mechanic. 06 5.4 124k miles. cam phasers off and oil pressure not holding so runs great until pressure drops then misses etc. what to do. love to talk. do you have web site?
Daniel, It looked like the ground strap at that under hood relay block you removed the relay from was nearly broken in half. You may want to check that before it causes other issues.
Anytime I see weird trailer lighting connections, I immediately suspect someone has tried to adapt the wiring to fit an older Airstream with a non-standard wiring scheme.

What relays is it on a 2001 f250 ? I checked fuse 3 , because right turn and brake don’t work on trailer ... changed fuse and still nothing ..

Hey Dan, other than buying an add-on part (trailer plug) or override every time, is there a way to disable Auto Start-Stop for a 2015/16 F-150?
FORScan can do it. It's easy!
Oh yeah another Excursion
Roberto Rivas that's am expedition
Tyrone Hendricks no that’s definitely a Excursion.
7.3 for you
Took time off. Spent time with wife. It's raining. Ok. Oh, 380,000 miles on it--interesting..
nice diagnosis and repair. Thats going to be a beautiful deck too. nice choice on the composite decking!
man if i lived there i would plant a ton of trees and bushes. The neighbors can see everything
I spent two days with the trailer light problem, on the third day my lights worked. I didn"t change anything.

I have a 98 ford expedition eddie bauer I hook up my trailer i have taillights but no turn signals or brake lights
Hi from Norway😊🇧🇻 love those excursion videos.
Yea I had an after market tow pin connector installed. It's so much easier to deal with than that stuff.
What brand?
Ah, electrical problems... not my favorite job but not the worst (semi truck starters are a nightmare to replace...)

well, I was sad;because, you didn't show us how you repaired everything, gosh, ugh!

Funny! I have a 2000 excursion and my fuse panel is under the steering wheel too !🤣
nice video, Daniel
They did that with the 2000 f350 cause the fuses are in the cab
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
How much would a fix like this cost in a shop of you would have to guess? Having trailer lights issues on the 08 ford f150
Give them a couple hours to diagnose it and another hour to repair, I’d say around $300 if you took it to a shop.
Do you still have the motor home?
Love your videos
Does he own that Excursion?
Devon H no
