My trouble-child female green cheek conure, who turned 9yrs old last week, only recently stopped turning her head away when I tried to get a cheek kiss. But a couple days ago, she made kissy noises on my cheek! I was over the moon. She's done it a few times since. I got her when she was 3. She was cage-bound and poked and teased through the cage bars by children. She had (and still has but not as often) a mean striking bite. It's taken a long time to gain her trust, tho I don't completely trust her yet. Anyway, I thought of these loving Chatterbox parrots. I always hoped to get even a fraction of the love they give you. It's starting..! ❤

I was out in a park yesterday with our dog . There are a pair of Indian Ring necks that now live there and I was looking around for them in the trees but could not see them . Then I heard a noise like a loud trumpet and looked around and there they were . They flew into a tree and so I went over to see them and they flew into a closer tree as if to say hello . One is green and the other one green with a grey bib . It was a nice surprise to see them .
