    Area check 1:34. RST looks like a good tournament/heavy house shot ball.

    Was the RSTX1 as a hybrid more solid than pearl or pearl than solid? Never saw that info anywhere?

      It was only two colors, so half pearl half solid.

    I love this ball. Very continuous for through the pocket for me. Last night I had 8 straight shots just splitting the 8/9 driving through to the back. Every shot was a no doubter. Not good for getting left of 20, but that’s not what it’s for anyway, so I’m very pleased with this piece.

    I know you've discontinued your rating system, but I really liked it. I'm considering adding an RST-X1 to my arsenal...although I probably don't need it. 9-5-5? Good stuff. Thanks for showing Angel's tosses and yours.

    Maybe I'll package this ball with the Rubicon UC2 this income tax season 🤔
    Looking forward to review videos on the UC2

    This ball gives me much more of Defiant Soul vibes than the Halo Vision did. Seems way more usable than the Vision too

    Hey Luke, haven't picked up any asymmetrical balls for a while bc I been more focused on trying to fix me. I am a lefty, and said I would get an omega crux when I felt like I was throwing the ball well enough. Then this came out, so I was wondering your opinion comparing the 2?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  3 года назад

      Omega is a bit stronger and slower than the RST, I think ultimately the RST is more versatile and I get more use out of it. The Omega is invaluable when the situation actually arrives for it, but I also think that if I didn't have the Omega as an option, the RST would cover that same situation relatively well also. You'll probably get more use out of this one, but as a lefty, there's not a bad choice between the two, just depends on if you want a smoother look or something with a little more punch.

    What kind of camera gear/setup do you use?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  3 года назад +2

      Sony FDR-AX53, Vegas Pro 17 (junk). About to switch to Adobe Premier Pro. Should have gone with a DSLR in retrospect, but the picture is really nice with the camcorder.

    Thing seems almost unpredictable for angel right that’s her name correct lol anyways for you it seems like the typical 3000 because of your speed it seems more like a ball for carry down but the heads are still freshish

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  3 года назад

      I wouldn't say it's unpredictable, it's just too much ball for the condition for her. It definitely needs volume tho

    Hey Mr.Luke. I’m a teen bowler who struggles on heavy oil conditions. Can you recommend me a ball that would allow me to open up my angle and not play down and in? Thx

      Wait for the Proton Physix to start getting reviewed.

    • @mikniks19
      @mikniks19 3 года назад +2

      Good call on the Proton, but from the existing catalog, and if you're talking about longer patterns with medium-heavy volume, I would suggest something like a UFO or Omega Crux. Both have asymmetric cores that will help the ball turn over down the lane :) - I don't have the UFO (too much ball for me on basically everything), but from what I've seen it's the rare hook monster that doesn't quit on the backend so I suspect it'd be a good choice for you! Balls like that are good on heavier volumes generally because they smooth out the breakpoint and "ignore" the pattern a little more

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  3 года назад +1

      Yep, I'd second what Michael said. However, opening up your angles isn't exactly the wisest choice on heavier volumes, you usually want to keep your angles closed but having more traction is definitely necessary. I do have a comparison to the UFO in my Proton video, but can't release it until Friday, so just a couple more days.

  • @joshbraddock2914

    Just bought this ball for my Tuesday night league an I love it. I’m coming from a wood house to a synthetic house n the lanes have a very heavy oil pattern. My Code X just wasn’t tracking enough/consistently an would hit the pocket light n would chop spares. The RST tracks way better an was definitely worth the purchase. Looking forward to seeing my average go back up 😎

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  3 года назад

      I'm running this one with my IQ Tour Nano Pearl now, it's basically like an asym version of it, so if the TNP is a little slow downlane, the RST is perfect, and if the RST is too strong or quick, the TNP slides right in. This one hasn't gotten as much attention as the Proton or the Synergy, but it's legit.

      The hook phase is quite short, and Angel is having zero issues swinging the ball from 4th arrow. Heavy oil ball? Totally. That cover is slowing down at the arrows. But dang, that core just makes the ball stop and turn left. Looks like a rounder Halo Vision.
