Maybe younger people can't understand, but Sepultura brought the Heavy Metal Music to the level. The most Death or Black Metal sounds was not really cool and then came this young guys from Brazil and played with this powerfull and dope energy. It was crazy but u know, there is was a meaning to be a part of this Sepulura Tribe (as a fan).

The same episode also had an interview with David Vincent of Morbid Angel via Covenant era. Anyway, I actually have those footages on an old VHS tape. Hail old school Sepultura.
I still don't get it how one of the best metal groups ever ended up like they did. Saw them live last year in Manchester and they were awful. Like literally awful and not just bad day.
I disagree with Roots being a letdown, cause personally I think the whole record represented something completely different in a positive sense of the word. I still think it is an amazing record and I can name more than two songs from that record that are outstanding for me But hey, everyone has a different taste, so not everyone shares my point of view and that is completely fine, cause world would be boring if we were exactly the same Cheers!

Personally this album is my favorite, the groove, the speed, the atmosphere,thr artwork... Unbeatable.

Such an important album and band. I never knew till today it was recorded in wales, it was my go to band and as album from 94-95 when I was at school
For myself, Beneath.. and Arise are more important, but I recognize the influence of Chaos ad on the music scene. Good album nonetheless.

Agreed. Chaos AD was their last good album. Roots was a shift into that numetal bullshit and after Max left Sepultura died.
