There is no limit to the amount of money F-1 students can bring into the US, they must declare any amount exceeding $10,000 USD. This includes cash, money orders, traveler's checks, and investment securities in bearer form.
This is a confusion in my part. I bought 1500$ when I first came in but this is what I found out. For CS, you will have to take Calculas I and II. If you don’t do SAT, they will put you on lower level math classes like MAT119,MAT 129 then gradually build up to calc, and that might be just a waste of time to learn basic maths all over again in clz. Or you have to take a placement test to directly get into calculus like ALEX test here at NKU that tests your maths aptitude. I think SAT maths are 9,10 maths concepts, so I recommend you to do SAT for your major unless you want to take Maths test here.
