    Hi Bill,
The cylinder itself was $210. I can't find the installed price. I included it when I bought the tractor and I believe the dealer included the installation with the purchase. I do have the additional ports in the back.
After watching your videos with the Bonecrusher I ordered one a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure it's not a good as a hydraulic grapple but it's certainly priced at a point that I can justify it for a few things I want to do. I also sold my box blade and purchase a landplane after watching the great work you are able to do with yours.
You commented during your video that the rocks you were unearthing would damage a tiller. I have a JD 655 tiller that is built like a tank. I have hit plenty of rocks that are the size of a baseball and it has not done any damage to the tiller. My interest in the disc is for the field around my business. I've got five or six acres that I bush hog twice a year and it very rough. I've used the tiller on a couple of the roughest spots but it takes a long time. I'd really like to disc the whole thing.
    Thanks again and stay safe

I have a Frontier 1066 in my new 2032R. It handles the disk perfectly. I do a lot of food plots on my hunting lease, about 70 plots from 1/4 acre to 2 acres. The only thing that I do not like about the disk is it has sealed bearings on the disk axles. I wished they were grease-able. I have an older Talor Way disk and you can grease the bearings on it. It’s 16 years old and I have not had to replace a bearing yet. Either way, it is a pain to change the bearings. It’s something that I prefer to do as least as possible. Just a little knowledge that I have learned by trial and error. Good luck with your projects and y’all have a good-un!!!’

Mr. Bill - I have thoroughly enjoyed your channel for a long time since you and I have similar size tractors and do a lot of the same projects. You inspired me to start my own channel this weekend, but I wanted to ask you if it’s frowned upon to comment on all these channels I watch and share a link to my own channel. Is that bad RUclips manners? I don’t know the social graces of RUclips if there are any. Thanks for your input!

Hello, I know some people comment on my channel and hope others will see their comments here and check out their channel. I don't see any harm. I'll check your channel out. Good luck.

Bill. nice video on the disc. I also like to see the end results. Did you use any straw or anything else to cover the seed? If you want to come to Missouri, I will let you finish putting my yard in. I have about half of it looking pretty good, just need to get the rest done.

    • @billburkhart
      @billburkhart  4 года назад

MD H I did not use any straw, try to avoid that when I can because of the amount of weeds. All I do is keep it damp after it seeded and I have pretty good luck. Thanks so much for taking time to comment. Wish you lived closer, I’d be happy to help you.

Hi I’m new to your channel. I have a 1025r up here in Nova Scotia Canada. I have a tiller but after watching this I would like to have a disc for roughing up places a tiller would be damaged. Wonder if some weight on the disc would help it cut in better. 👍

Let me know if I can help you. I'm confident weight can be added.

Better to disc than tear up a tiller. Might need to lengthen the top link a smidge to make rear gangs work more. If you own a turn over plow, a disc can be used to break up the clods. And cheaper than a tiller.

This was a joy to watch & learn, Bill. Thank you for explaining the various things you were doing and why. I have no experience using a DH and you certainly provided an excellent view of how it operates. I would like something for a tiny food plot I started a year or so ago. Man, your lawn looks great. BTW, will that DH cut through roots, if weighted down? Full-watch and have a fine week. 🙂

Houndsman One Hello Houndsman! I don’t know if it’ll cut roots or not. I’ll keep that in mind next time out. A small food plot is my next video, thanks for staying with me all these years.

Can't see how much your doing there but I think a small mini tiller would be better, Those things kick butt.

The X pattern is the most aggressive cut , that a disc can do. I like a rotavator better.

Don’t run in the same track. You should be straddling a disk mark every time . It will ridge the ground if you keep running in same track.

Nice video Bill, I run Frontier 1066 discs that I had on my 2025R, now that I have a 2038 I wish I had the 1166. But the Frontier's will impress you, the hardest part with 3 point discs is getting the top link adjusted properly because it's very difficult to see from the seat, it helps to have someone watching when you make the first pass and help you get it adjusted. Here is my latest video from the other night.
