Exactly, This is actually a massive consideration that's commonly overlooked. If you're settled in your teams then of course your assessment of every unit will be based only on how well they can replace any of the existing core members of those teams rather than looking at their value/usefulness across the board from old, recent, to upcoming characters. This is often why we see "I was wrong about..." takes every now and then.

The difference between furina and yelan is that you can only enjoy yelan's benefits with a normal attack main dps. While furina allows her buffs on every type of unit. Yelan's dmg buff is active only on the active character and resets when changing the character while furina gives her damage and healing bonus buffs to the entire party

The thing is, Furina's HP drain to damage boost makes her more valuable with Fontaine characters and/or healers
She is very meta, but only if you adapt your teams with less popular characters like Jean or Mika
If you simply replace Xingqiu or Yelan with her, you'll probably won't have as much value or satisfaction as if you made a team centered around her buff
Furina is basically the Qiqi buff the game needed. She even became one of the most viable contenders for a Furina Team especially in a Hyperfridge Team.

The problem between you and other cc is they actually spent days before making the guide, yes, they have a head start on you but they spent more effort to relay the right and more accurate info about a character. You on the other hand just get the character, play with it for few hours without trying other many other options and leave out a good chunk of other info. You did that with Raiden and Alhaitham too before. And look how that turned out to be.
I have no idea how that went though, Raiden i think is overrated and Alhaitham is pretty good.

You have to change team comps to fit furina into teams. She just isn't gonna fill the same exact role as xingqiu and yelan. But she opens up other options, especially with units people have been ignoring like jean and mika.

yeah she opens up new opportunities for off meta units but ultimately the new team comps she enables aren't actually able to keep up with the best meta teams. So pull for furina if you want to play some off meta team, but people are overhyping her as a generically splashable support when she really isn't. Furina is no bennet/kazuha/nahida/sucrose that's for sure.
Furina can give you WHOLE team 75-100% increased damage. Not just the on field the WHOLE team. No one else is doing anything lke that. No snapshotting just buffs.

dmg buff is overrated, which can also be said for yelan's dmg buff (12% dps increase). tc say its about 20% overall dps increase, which is good but she's not some amazing new powercrept xq or yelan (yet). she definitely is worth pulling but only because hoyo is going to integrate mechanics that will make her shine in abyss 🤔

@purplerainPR I recommend you go and test it yourself. It is much more than a 20% increase. Also she does as much damage with her skill as yelan does with her ult. She powercreeps hard. Unless you're playing dendro core teams since her buff doesn't affect the reaction damage.
C0 Furina is underwhelming if u actually have the character, ur not getting 75% dmg bonus right off the bat, ur getting to at later phase of her burst, meaning ur will only get to enjoy those buffs for mere 6~7 seconds if ur playing with a teamwide healer or outside of Neuvillette’s team
Swapping 2 characters out from older teams for Furina + Teamwide healer is not necessarily an upgrade, bcs ur losing comfort for slightly more dmg, and comfort as in stagger resistance or stable hydro application
Imagine putting her in Hutao’s team, most people would want to replace Xingqiu and Zhongli, but then if your Hutao is C0, u won’t have enough stamina to dodge after doing your CAs, plus without the stagger resistance, u can get kicked around like a football
Some people might think using her in hyperbloom team, but then hyperbloom doesn’t get buff by Furina’s dmg bonus, and her hydro application is piss awful, so less dendro cores are generated = less overall dmg
At current state, if your Furina is C0, she can only be playing in Noelle’s team, C1 Neuvillette’s team (if your Neuvillette is C0, just playing Neuvillette vape, ignore Furina) or Kokomi mono hydro (good dmg but takes away too many good supports leaving your 2nd team option being quite limited)
You’re right but Furina’s ability to enable the hunter set for everyone just makes her such a good support for not only fontaine characters but every dps you really want.
BUT not everyone is NA/CA units so... quite waste if someone who is not using Na/CA with that 2pc bonus from hunter

To make the most of furina. You need 1 big healer like barbara, jean, baizhu. Her burst is amazing if you can gain her fanfare quickly at the beginning of her burst. So far she is the best buffer that i have, bennet has issue that his burst is stuck to one small area, there is none of that issue with furina, if you got c2 things got even better.
I'm still building her but so far while I do think she's really good I'm kind of noticing that you are somewhat limited by the condition of having to run her with specifically a party-wide healer specifically so a lot of the healers don't pair as well with her. Furina essentially takes up 2 party slots leaving really only 2 other slots left for whatever you want on a team which for me just feels a little limiting.
I think as of 4.2 I just wish we had more compatible healer options to pair with her to make it easier to build more teams around her. I'm hoping they add a compatible off-field party-wide geo healer, pyro healer, and an electro healer sooner than later so that there are at least more options of characters to pair her with.
I find the fact that all the comments that are saying Furina is good and saying actual advice and making valid points are getting shat on by people calling them simps for literally no reason.
She made my Neuvilette go from 20k to 40k damage so she was worth for me, i guess some people just want everything without putting some effort.

She's currently the largest damage buffer in the entire game, her average buff over the ramping period is on par with Kazuha, except Kazuha only buffs the swirled element and Furina buffs most universally (every element, all atk, def and hp scaling units). At max stacks, she buffs twice the amount of Kazuha. Slightly lesser application and requiring a healer is a small price to pay to receive such broken buffs.
You gotta stop tunnel visioning at the superficial stuff and understand the true function of her kit. Takes like these are what drive your reputation to the ground.
At the end of the day you still be killing hilichurls.😂

She's NOT broken by any means. The fact that you have to slot in a healer that's just there to charge her ult means she's not gonna beat already existing supports.
75% damage bonus don't mean shit when 2 out of 4 characters are the one that actually deals damage.
Her "buff" is an illusion because of the fact that you charge her fanfare stacks with hp fluctuations which would take a while to get there without a team wide healer, which is honestly not gonna lie it's such an ass mechanic
You're saying that as if you're not using some form of sustain in your team already, so the point that "Furina requires a healer" and “2 out of 4 characters deal dmg” is rather dumb and moot. A typical Furina team template is the usual dps, sub-dps, buffer, sustain, and in this case Furina deals high off-field damage so she’s a buffer and sub-dps rolled into one, so that’s THREE out of four characters dealing damage and enjoying the buff. Even in Hu Tao teams, where healers typically cause a dps loss, when paired with Furina, gives an overall higher damage than traditional shielding options. You really seem to have downplay the teamwide buff a lot deliberately, even if the average buff received during the ramping period is half of what the maximum amount of stacks is, around 35%, that's still one of the largest amount of dmg buff a character could give to the whole team (or in your words, only 2 characters enjoy the buff, which is false btw, is still way more impressive than most buffers due to no restriction on which element she buffs, and that includes physical). Arguably Mona gives a 60% Omen teamwide buff but it lasts way shorter if you're not using freeze and her energy and application is way worse.
This is people dunking on Kazuha and Kokomi all over again. You people do not learn. Anyway it's a bit pointless to argue with a doomposter who does not even try to understand a character's niche and expect every broken thing to be handed to them without any strings attached, so I'm just gonna peace out. Feel free to scream into the void how mid or ass you feel a character is just because it requires you not to be braindead once in a while.

I think that at this point that you need to just hang up these reviews, if you could even call them that, on new character releases. This shit is honestly embarrassing and is the entire reason why "Why I was wrong about X character" videos have become a meme. Please, can we just leave guides/reviews on characters to people that actually fully test them and not release kneejerk reaction videos from playing the character trial for 5 minutes? Thanks.

The reason why Furina is powerful is her personal damage is actually cracked (Percentages are above Yelan ult and this is an Elemental Skill, people did testing already) and she gives teamwide DMG% boost (yes, OVERALL damage percent boost for the WHOLE TEAM). Ya'll know how powerful Bronya is in Star Rail right? Same situation here. Add to that her damage is actually SSS tier. Once Tash gets his Golden Troupe artifacts for her he'll see. Also he did not elaborate on her final talent, and was quite vague about it. At 3:48 he said "Some more value". It's 28% DMG bonus for ALL of her off field damage. I wouldn't really call it "some", to me that's significant value that raises her dmg even more.
To add to my points, Furina is definitely above the other damage dealing hydro units, but is she NEEDED for your account? Maybe not if you're day 1 and you have a well built Yelan or XQ. However she is extremely powerful and I dont understand how he think she isn't "as good" as the title suggested. If you're asking me I'd put her above Yelan and XQ if we're talking minmaxed C0 5*. Her personal damage + team dmg boost is a huge boon.

everytime someone says shes bad I ask them two questions. 1. is xingquo bad? "No hes one of the best characters in the game" 2. Is bennet bad? "ofc not hes absolutely broken". Furina does both of their jobs and allows you to basically run a second team with a free slot for a different healer
@@Fitzness1uhh, not saying furina is bad or anything, but your comparisons are way off. Xingqiu is good not only because of his hydro app, but also his defensive utility. His hydro app is way better than furina, and realistically, furina makes your team more fragile. For Bennett, it's an unconditional buff+ healing. Furina is good for different reasons.
@@H2Ocup Bennett’s buff isn’t unconditional as it’s one tied to a constellation and 2 tied to a circle impact and yes technically your more fragile as u lose health but that loss of health is offset by the healer that u can slot in because she’s doing xingquo and Bennett’s Jobs. I’m not saying she’s a replacement I’m saying she another option that allows for even more teambuilding and a damn good one at that. Tbh most of the people I’ve seen complaining about the health drain are low foresight players who for some reason don’t have healers built.

@@H2Ocupbut the purpose of the buff that Bennett gives is conditional. It can only apply to active character's like Yelan's conditions, and only atk scalers. It also can be countered by heavy knockback abyss such as Consecrated beasts and double edged since a combination of anemo and hydro enemies can go national team on you as you are applying pyro to yourself.
Xingqiu's hydro app serves only to boost hyperbloom and vape. Furina's hydro app can serve both vape but also quickbloom aka aggravate/spread while hyperblooms still persists. She also has more personal dps than Xingqiu and Yelan, especially in AoE, and first ever off field hydro to forward vape. Really easy with Sunfire and Sayunational or internationals brother Mr. Swirldwide. Furina in burgeon also gets great personal damage as burning let's her produce dendro cores and vape, with burgeons used to gain stacks of Fanfare.
Furina is pretty much a separate archetype from Xingqiu, following more closely with Mona but less handicapped since buff is not based on enemy but based in teammate and her summons are smart targeting whereas Mona's is stationary AoE that is shorter lasting, and Furina's buffs all damage regardless of reaction, just not transformative damage.
I you may even use Xingqiu alongside Furina as he will be her shield for the active character who prefers to have IR, so Yoimiya can go Mika, Furina, and Xingqiu as teammates, or Baizhu instead of Mika for burgeons. .

I never had problems with it really. Specially if you're running a quick swap team, the only thing you should look out for is your onfield character's hp. Others will be fine if you have a good party healer.
But as a Hu tao main it sucks that her drain stops at 50% and healing is required to get proper stacks :(

I agree, she just came out, so people don’t have her skill and burst at lvl 10, so it’s unfair to judge her right now. Especially since theory crafters made their videos with Furina’s talents fully upgraded in mind.

@@episode4882 When Kazuha came out most people called him a "Worse Sucrose". His release banner sold Poorly because of the negativity. After people found out how good he really is, his first rerun sales skyrocketed like crazy. Also, Kazuha came out way before Ayaka.
I've played Furina with EM Kuki in an Alhaitham team and it's plenty of healing. The only person that doesn't stay very nicely topped up from Furina's overhealing passive is Kuki.
I've had a sneaking feeling you would end up disappointed in her kit despite hyping it up because you really missed a lot of the nuance to it. You've always been someone who undervalues healing, and Furina's kit is designed around not just making healing desirable but optimal. Also you really don't need characters that drain their HP for her to be good. She's good with literally everyone, especially if you pair them with the AoE healers in the game. Hell, the fact that Wanderer Faruzan Furina MIKA does more damage than Wanderer Faruzan Thoma Bennett should really say it all.

I have her in the 90 and I think she's horrible.
She needs a rework to heal the team decently and not ruin it.
Yeah, forcing a teamwide healer steals a slot that could have otherwise been used for a stronger unit.
I got her. Built her. Love her. But after a full day of trying her out, here's my conclusion:
She's not the best choice in any of my teams.
Let's see:
Neuvillette dehya anemo dendro: remove dendro = lose 30k x 2 burgeons and make burning way harder (lose Neuvillette vaporize).
Remove dehya = same.
Remove anemo = no cc.
Raiden national: remove xq = lose a lot of xiangling vapes. Remove xiangling = huge dps loss. Remove Bennet = say goodbye to xiangling's burst.
Mono geo itto: no matter who I remove, it's a dps loss and I can't heal myself back up (+ low fanfare points).
Ayato kuki hyperbloom: either lose cc (anemo), lose hyperbloom (dendro or electro) or lose the driver (who do I use on field? Nahida?!).
Xiao team... Yeah right.
Wanderer: Bennet + yunjin + faruzan is way too good for him.
Alhaitham quickbloom: tried it and the version with yelan instead of furina clears faster and doesn't get me killed every two seconds.
Keqing quick bloom: same
I have every four stars and almost 20 five stars and I can't find a single team where I can slot her without losing dps/making my life harder or both.
I would say she might be best for lyney but he's mono pyro so even that is out of the question.
Rizzley? One of the few melt cryo units and you're wasting him in a freeze team?
Hu Tao? Not enough hydro app.
Cyno? He normal attacks, so you might as well go xq for interruption resitsnce or yelan for extra dmg if you're going qiickbloom.
Really, when they designed her what team mates do they had in mind? The sustainer of heavenly principles?
I got early diluc after getting her and was thinking about her C1 but I think I'll go baizhu instead (which ironically gives me the only viable team for her I think of: a second hyperbloom team with Raiden)
Overall I think they really dropped the ball in an attempt to make healers more relevant. Should have made it so her burst was also a teamwide heal and call it a day.
I was so disappointed when I put her on my Alhaitham, Yaoyao and Raiden team. I was forced to interrupt his and her damage phase bc everyone was dying. Yaoyao is very good but she takes time to burst heal. (Not a problem with Yelan or Mona)
They will probably launch more healers in the future (or even a dps that takes away the team's HP to gain damage so we can use her form of healing) but it really doesn't look that good at this moment because the healers on the furina team (apart from baizhu) they only do healing, I don't I think her buff is that good to justify not using Bennet or Kuki since they do a lot for your team without any of the downsides that Furina + healer has at the moment.

In any case, since I'm a archon collector and I want them to have their best gear possible (even tho I'm weklin+BP only) I pulled for her weapon and I have to say that, with it, her personal damage alone kinda makes her worth even without bursting. I'm still at level 7 skill talent and she already deals 30k with her strongest minion I vv shred, + 20k for the middle one and 10k for the small one. That's 60k automatic hydro off field damage every few seconds, which is respectable. As for the fanfare bonus, I tried her again and with alhaitham and a em Kuki she managed to get full stacks at around half of the burst duration. I imagine it will be faster when I build baizhu.
Anyways, after another day of testing I think her biggest issue is that without her bis her personal damage is not that great (since xq and yelan exist) and her second best options are a sword that you can't have unless you're a day one player and a bp one that will require weeks to refine to a decent level.
Also, as I said, yelan and xq exist, and the dps units that don't revolve around normal attacks are waaaay to little still, so 9 times out of ten you're gonna put yelan/xq in the team instead.
Lastly, I think they really made a bad decision in making Neuvilette require 3 different elements to get his full CA buff: if she could bring all of my Neuvilette potential out, I wold consider her absolutely worth for that fact alone already. But honestly I'm dealing way more damage with him+em sucrose+em dehya + collei (now baizhu) than I do if I put her in his team.
I guess she will be great in ayaka freeze if you go Jean ayaka shenhe furina

imo, she's not that bad at c0. She's more like a luxury character at the moment that requires other character build adjustments, building other characters and yeah i think you need to be good in dodging lol but after testing her with some of my teams, the only time i need to up my skill in dodging is with hutao, yelan and jean team against the dancing boss in chamber 2 and I play in ipad. The dmg increase too is much higher than using the usual hu tao, xingqiu, yelan and zhongli in chamber 2. Survival is not that bad too with Alhaitham quickbloom with raiden but maybe coz I have baizhu. Still, she enables other teams that requires hydro. Also, maybe she's not meant to replace other characters in existing meta or decent teams. Most likely if you replace one, you need to replace another with a decent healer. In my experience, she's okay. You can just even run her with semi afk teams and summoners and she's still good in spiral abyss considering she still have mid talent lvls. She's good in national team too if you need to use xingqiu in other teams like double hydro hutao, hyperbloom, nilou bloom teams or any team out there that requires xingqiu. Currently, i would say she's not a must pull if you are an f2p and if you already have xingqiu and yelan. But we dont know, maybe she'll get better in the future

New units indirectly buffing old/non meta units is always plus for me..
It’s like if you have DPS characters that constantly drain HP, like Wriothesley and Neuvillette, you’ll have a better time using Furina. Hu Tao can work, but I think it’s a s*icide move, since she loses a chunk of health, opposed to gradually losing it.
As for the healing characters, Jean and Yaoyao would be very nice to play with. I haven’t tried Charlotte, yet, but she seems like a good healer and Cryo support.

So, I have a Venti (c0) and I have no dps charcater. So like, should I pull for Furina or save for Raiden? (am f2p, so I have limited pulls and got 70 pity saved up)
You should save up for a dps, raiden can be a decent dps while being great sub-dps support. Furina However is even more sided on sub-dps support so unless she has c6, she is not good as main dps. + She can rerun on 4.6 while the other older archons will only rerun after a year more or less.

There's Raiden National which is pretty good, specially in single target. But you need to be a bit of an end-game player to truly exploit it. This is because you need to build your characters with less ER and more offensive stats for this specific team. Plus you are already taking away the national trio members that could be used on another team.
It's honestly been a relief ever since I got true carries. Even weekly bosses used to be a huge pain when Raiden was my "carry". Super fun for the challenge tho.

Why are people subscribed to this guy
1. Yelan only buffs ONE char, which is your active character, while Furina buffs FOUR, on-field and off-field chars. (I love Yelan btw, i have her at C2R1) :)
2. The hp drain isn't a downside if you actually know how her kit works. It basically lets any character use the Marechaussee artifact, which is a really good artifact, and take advantage of the 4pc passive.
3. Neuvillette is a dps and Furina is a subdps/ damage buffer and you can pair them with perfect synergy.
4. Her kit was made with the future characters in mind specially the Fontaine characters with their HP drain mechanic. If you hate building new teams you might as well stick to your old team comps.
5. Her Pneuma heal is actually pretty good and convenient to use in the overworld since it has a 100% uptime. I, personally, am getting 4k-5k heals per second at skill level 6 and it also has an aoe with the same size as Ganyu's burst. Basically makes your Furina a walking statue. The whole point of her Pneuma form is not to make her a healer but just to counter her hp drain mechanic in cases you forgot to bring a healer. Coz imagine if y'all are down 50% hp and you can't heal then you will never gain fanfare stacks.
6. She buffs characters that Kazuha can't (Dendro, Geo, Anemo). She buffs characters regardless if their ATK or HP scaling unlike bennett who only buffs ATK.

However bcs of her ER issue and being tied to a teamwide healer, u will only have 1 slot left after Furina + hydro + healer, making so her team composition is very restricted if u expect good performance, hence not as viable as people think and definitely not a ‘broken’ support at C0
Teams that already have hydro + Teamwide healer composition pre-Furina will benefit a lot from Furina, definitely huge upgrade, for example Kokomi on field mono hydro, Neuvillette carry, Raiden double hydro with Yelan + Furina + Jean etc.
Outside of these teams, putting her + Teamwide healer in and swap 2 characters out in older teams will usually be downgrade or sidegrade, and even if it’s sidegrade, it will not be as comfortable to play bcs ur most likely gotta face issues like lack of interruption resistance or Furina struggling to burst due to lack of ER or hydro teammate

That alone already makes her more versatile, as well as not being constricted to needing a teamwide healer to function efficiently. She opens up synergies without closing any off. She is also way easier to build and is literally the only dendro character you need, so like I said, she isn't on Nahida's level, (and that's okay) and you can't convince me otherwise

I would agree with you that she’s an endgame unit. Mainly I think her kits different elements are meant to empower different units in different ways. For instance one thing that I found surprising useful was her healing for a Lynne team because he can continue to just snipe and build to max stacks easily without an additional healer or having to utilize his ult

yelan gives 50%. Your furina at c1 gives 100% damage bonus. Both of them have almost same off field dps, but yelan does it with burst while furina does it with skill.

Kind of a pain in the ass to build 4 stars like them, but give her a try with Mika or Charlotte. I think the reason you found jean the best is because she's a teamwide healer. Characters that heal the entire team really maximize her power.
A lot of the time actually having Yelan and Furina on the same team makes a pretty powerful combo too, you're not replacing yelan with her, but buffing yelan's already stupid personal damage to be even more stupid. A big benefit of furina is that she buffs all types of carries, not just normal attack carries.

I just think she’s still missing some key pieces, like for real even Jean doesn’t feel that good to use, and baizhu being a dendro character can some times be a limitation. I’m speculating there will be a new healer coming that fits perfectly well with her while providing some other utility. Right now you almost have to use neuvillete to get her full potential. Because literally no meta team uses Jean before she came out.

Just like when dendro was released and Kuki, who was BAD, was now suddenly a very good unit. Furina is doing a similar thing, she enables a lot of different characters, makes M. Hunter artifact set viable on most main DPS. She’s allowing previously non meta healers to be viable again.
@@troydennis96 now that I maxed her out and tested her with some of the old units, I can safely say that she only “seemed” to work in most of the old teams, and she’s definitely not the kuki for them. The health drain is constantly putting you in danger just like mtashed said.
@@troydennis96 the one thing I found was she actually made dehya a bit more valuable, if you can manage to place her in the team, i.e., use neuvillette. And it all comes down to neuvillette again, he is the only carry that won’t make furina feels like a burden.
Ngl, i liked Charlotte more, furina is a great sub dps and buffer but Charlotte was so fun. I think after heizou, she is the most fun 4 star for me.
With Neuvillette, it's really easy to get max fanfare points on furina. I can get in like max 5-6 sec and there is a sparkly screen comes in that tell you have the full stacks now. Neuvillette is really good pair for her.
With Furina I’d say that she warps team building in a way that’s exciting for older players but isn’t extremely friendly to newer players or old players who stick to on field hypercarry playstyles that aren’t able to benefit from her unique set up like how wanderer, xiao, noelle etc. Yelan is less intrusive in terms of team building whereas furina forces the use of really good healers of which 4* have limited options that add value since only Mika and Charlotte can make her feel better but that limits you to freeze whereas yaoyao is good but only on dendro teams and has added field time requirements whereas the best healers for furina are 5 stars kokomi is very versatile but with Furina has to be onfielded, Jean who you have to pray to the 50/50 loss gods you get and baizhu. Furina’s kit offers a refreshing experience for those who want to optimise their teams with her by playing to her strengths and in some cases tweaking the whole team because with how big the buff is it can justify changing builds on characters like attack goblets etc on attack scalers. Again to reiterate Furina is very good in my opinion better than yelan but far more invasive due to her drawbacks forcing a change in team composition that doesn’t suit every account and playstyle like if I didn’t have jean and kokomi I likely wouldn’t pull :/
not even on field hypercarry playstyles, furina actually fits that playstyle well since she gives non element specific damage buff. Where furina is lacking is in reaction and quickswap teams actually, since she costs 2 team slots and doesn't personally apply much hydro herself. You'd rather run an actual hydro applicator in a reaction team for instance. But with a hyper carry like neuvillete wriothesley or noelle, furina is okay,.

Our beloved Mtashed is clearly missing some crucial points about that character.
Furina gives bigger DMG buff to all party members then Kazuha and not just for the swarled element, but all, plus she enables the usage of the Marechaussee Hunter Artifact Set on good amount of DPS characters and with all that her skill has a very decent damage output and okish hydro application.
I am sure I am missing some other stuff, but Mtashed clearly does not consider the above mentioned points when talking about Furina. But, he'll pick up this sooner or later :D

i think you feel this way bc you don’t particularly have a single other fontaine dps char. her buff is way more valuable on dps chars from fontaine and she becomes an irreplaceable teammate for them. she also makes chars like noelle really viable and on par with someone like itto teams
I don't think so about the last statement. That's the thing, you can't use her unless on a fontaine team. She's basically another character that exists but you don't need.
That’s true it is easier to get the buff stacks with the Fontaine characters but currently she can only work with Neuvillete and Wriothesley so it’s only two characters. She can’t really work with Lyney since he needs the pyro aura on enemies and Freminet and Lynette don’t drain and raise their HP enough to compensate. It’s great what she can do but it would be a shame if her maximum potential is only with two other Fontaine units that are out right now. We’ll have to see how good she is with all the others.
I do love her gameplay style though and that she can work really well with Noelle, so I’m excited to build her up once I can get the materials for her.
@@Wanis23 yea well lately they’ve been releasing chars that don’t necessarily do more dmg buff more etc etc but it’s more about different ways to play and new teams to build. not to mention she can be paired with any dps char in the game and they can now utilise the broken 36% cr set

I mean that's the thing tho, isn't it? If I don't have fontaine Characters, I can't maximize her? She's an archon so I had the impression she would be universally cracked like the other archons. I was so excited for her. When her kit was revealed, I got less excited becuase I couldn't universally fit her in any of my team as much as I wanted. I still got her. Used my guaranteed pull on her. And I'm still gonna build her. I still like her kit. It's just that, I'm not as hyped as I was before knowing how her kit works and how it was based on fontaine character abilities to drain and gain hp. I still see myself choosing Yelan or Xingque over her with the units and teams that I have.
I'm still in the process of raising her right now. At her current level she's 44/148 on golden troupe. I'm kind of thinking on doing 2 piece combo of the HP sets. I was trying her on a mono hydro team with Kokomi, Yelan and Kazuha. I was also trying her with Neuvi and Neuvi felt pretty decent with her.
I pulled for her but she feels underwhelming for the *Hydro archon* I think she should do something more

So yeah I think Furina is not for everyone and her damage boost is conditional and I noticed that I have to replace Kazuha with Jean if I want to get the best out of Furina which is not worth it cuz Kazuha is too good
10:08 definitely a you issue -- and that's fine. Furina favors a certain set of characters that people may or may not have and/or have built, so mileage WILL vary. If you feel she's not that good for you, it's definitely because the teams you have are great as-is. So don't worry, IMO your opinion is just as valid as those who hype her up.

TLDR ; she's not as revolutionary as Nahida Raiden Zhongli(post buff) or Venti when those archons came out & gave the Archon title a meaning.
I don't know if people watched the video, but this is some very early honest opinions which many veterans like myself agree and this is likely to change but we don't know this yet until new Abyss opens up and some of us get our Furina to level 90 with 1/10/10.
Personally as someone who skipped Neuvillete and got Furina instead, I was literally "wow'd" by how disgustingly broken Neuvillete was, and Furina not so much. I have Jean and some other healers, but Furina doesn't feel nearly as broken as the other Archons like Nahida or Raiden. Her personal damage is nothing amazing like Yelan, her buffs are okay but easily replaceable with either Kazuha or some other units.
She doesn't even work with Benett because his healing stops at 70%.
I should also mention that I didn't find Zhongli that great either, so i'd pair Furina on similar par with Zhongli, I just don't find her to be that amazing, since she constantly needs a big healer like Jean.
As an archon collector, I will still pull for her no matter what and will build her, but for now she isn't that amazing, especially since I don't even have the exclusive event weapon making my Furina way worse than others.
I 100% agree with the "late game" character. My friend realy wanted her so i whished and got her. Build't her up. She is ar50 and her acount needs help... So the team she uses are characters she likes, and her problem is, is that she doesent have a team wide healer buit. And even then its not even one of the recomended characters. She is a casual player, and doesent care but im trying to make her good for her
as I expected she is overrated, her damage and buff are good but in practice using healers that are not jean, baizhu, kokomi (or neuvillette which gains and loses life by itself) is not that good and it will be better to use bennet and kuki because they do more than just heal and are more efficient in their functions than furina + healer.
In general she is not very versatile and her teams are expensive.
I think future Fontaine characters are going to work very well with her passive. Maybe Arleccino and Clorinde.

I mostly agree with Mtashed here, however you can look at this from different perspective. Imagine you are a new player, but you got unlucky pulling for dps units and you get a bunch of Jean-s Qiqi-s and stuff like that. Now those not that amazing units, could be more than salvaged through Furina... On the other hand though, if you just have dps units, Furina will be too expensive to use effectively. Another point is that Mtashed has very little respect for a lot of the healing units in this game. He considers Baizhu a bad unit, he despises Mika (who is easily the strongest 4* healer) and he is not a fan of Jean... Given those, it is no surprise he thinks this way. Overall nothing wrong with the video. Quality content as usual! 😎😎
