Good morning Sir! Good video! Good to see some affordable NVG opinions! Like you said, not all of us have $6k to drop on the real deal….. and some night vision is better than none! Just subscribed too, looking forward to more stuff from you! Take care!
Another product to lookout for that's within the same range is the NVG30's you can find them from $300-500 uses the sony starvis 2 sensor (not sure which) and a 1080p oled screen, about 40 degree fov , only real downside is the max frame-rate is 40hz but the processing time from camera to screen seems pretty good. also uses 18650's int he built in compartment or any usb power-bank plugged into it's usb-c (and you don't have to install the battery in the unit if you use the usb-c). So if you don't want to go through the trouble of assembling the unit there are other options around.
Just a heads up, the Xenocam lenses are actually worse at receiving light than the stock runcam lenses. The guide talks them up a bunch, but I found a comparison video in the discord. Im not sure what lenses are actually better. It's hard to find good information.
If I'm remembering right it's a steel plate cut to size, JB welded onto the mono with a 1/4 thread for the J-Arm. If you know any CAD you could cover that hole and put threads into the print. I think there's also files in the discord server for the PVS69? Not too sure though, haven't been in there in a while.
yeah im just gonna save up lol Kind of dont think thats even worth the time top put it together. Bout half way done saving up for a nv thermal combo setup with some of the new thermals coming out being way cheaper gonna be like 8k for pvs14 whit phos with the option to pick the tube i want thermal monocular bridge mount and Wendy bump. gonna be another while of saving but will totally worth it
8k for a PVS14 with a quality WP tube? May I ask what thermal unit is included in that deal? Not being smart ass I legit wanna know for future options lol been thinking of getting a handheld thermal. Something that’s u see a grand. I own a nice PVS14 but it has a GP tube. Would like to upgrade to a WP or WP duals some day and thermal overlay or one PVS14 and one thermal over the other eye wouldn’t be bad to upgrade to in the future.
its the rix stride 640 thermal with nocturn industries tanto monocular with white elbit white phos tube 2k-2376 fom. i know that fom doesn't guarantee good tube but its still better than shot in the dark..... with a nosefighter bridge and a g24 mount. its like 8k with tax and shipping@@wildcat8598
You’re better off getting ammo and training. I don’t know why you people place such an emphasis on night vision systems that you have zero training in and won’t be able to use in any real conflict
I’m hyped for when digital nv is high quality and affordable. Probably only a few more years at this rate.

Hey, thanks for the comment and subscribe. I'll try to push some more stuff out next week.
Good review! Lowering the exposure on the phone camera makes recording through the PVS69 much easier. I enjoyed it!
Thanks! I'll have to do that when I get more footage.

I saw that video, in person the xenocam works better.
where did you find the J arm mounting plate/file or did you make it? I want to make a mono like this as well

@@Chief-CO thank you honestly cutting a steel plate sounds like less work then cad lol
@Holden6920 Yep, lol, that's why I just did the plate. It's more secure too.
