That’s “Lucille” by Lalo Schifrin from the Cool Hand Luke Soundtrack. Same composer and soundtrack that gave us the Eyewitnesses News theme!

Well, this is unusual! A late-1970s sign-off displaying the 1959 version of the TV Code Seal!

KTVT had quite a few things stuck in the past until they became a CBS affiliate..

Makes complete sense to me, given that Texas is an absolute Bizarro World unto itself. 😸

Not actually an affiliate, but a CBS owned-and-operated station, along with co-owned sister independent KTXA in that same DFW market.

@@ECG3485 When KTVT signs off for the night, the words would say...
This is the Seal of Good Practice. It identifies KTVT as a subscriber to the Television Code of the National Association of Broadcasters.
This is KTVT in Dallas/Fort Worth transmitting on channel 11 by authority of the Federal Communications Commission. KTVT is owned by CBS, Inc. and operated by the CBS Television Stations Division. The programs broadcast by this station are for viewing by the public without charge, and may not be rebroadcast, recorded or otherwise used, without the prior written permission of CBS, Inc. This concludes our broadcast day.

At 8:33 I’m pretty sure she says “Weatherford”. It’s about 25 miles west of Fort Worth. There is no Rutherford.

That 11 logo looks like the first one WVAH used when they moved to channel 11 in 1988!

KTVT kept using film until sometime in the mid 80s even after other TV stations went to betamax.
