Heres a couple of tips in helping to dodge coins.
1. Dont bother avoiding flower coins. You need some in order to access the required stafed of later worlds.
2. If you feel like you are at a dead end, the ghost form in multiplayer can help you phase through the coins (provided you find a standee or player afterwards). You cannot be a ghost in the smaller stages though where death isnt an option
Random invisibility badge trivia: in the level where you use lights to reveal invisible blocks, it also reveals invisibility badge users.
Nintendo really pulled out all the stops for this game. They took ideas and features from literally everywhere and I love it
The star having a pull factor is actually taken from a now forgotten game: Super Mario Run.
That font that you mentioned that they reused. That's the classic Mario Bros. font they have been using since the original Mario Bros arcade game. The font is a throwback in itself.
I'm glad they gave everybody elephant form. Elepehants are my fave animals and Toadette is my fave Mario character so this combination is awesome 💙.

There was originally going to be a timer in the game. Modders found a variable for a timer and it had a default value of 500!
The changing music was in Super Mario World too. When you got on Yoshi, the music would add bongos to the soundtrack.
I think it's sad that Super Mario Run is getting looked over in videos like this. It's a genuinely good game that had a lot of its own unique ideas and flair plus a ton of variety.
Actually,swimming over the waterfall and propeller flowers in this game are the referrence to bonk's revenge on turbo-grafix 16.

Idk if this counts as a spoiler so just incase “Spoiler Alert!” there is another badge called “fast dash” which makes you run and walk a little faster, this reminded me of Blue Toad and how he can run faster than the others in Super Mario 3D World

I actually like the talking flowers
I had no clue that the airship levels used the theme for Mario 1 in Mario Maker. What a nice change tbh. The Mario 3 song was growing super stale. Not to mention the 1 theme is the best imo.
The flowers are adorable what’s wrong with u the flowers make the game since when is being happy annoying u got issues 😮
Difficulty wise, the start is so easy a 2 year old can do it. However, you will notice a change in difficulty when advancing to the later stages of the game. Seriously, the first time you play a level with 4 or 5 stars on it, you have to play like a pro or you will die. I’m not kidding

Wonderful mario game
This is a fantastic game. I thoroughly enjoyed achieving 100%. However, I'm not sure what the devs are going on about regarding difficulty. Other than a few of the special world levels, it didn't feel particularly challenging. And I don't say that in "I'm a gaming God" sorta way. I'm average at best with these games. Skilled players won't have much trouble at all.
This game made me actually hella happy for no reason and i love it.
It was also said that the devs added Daisy because his daughters would always argue about who plays as Peach so now they can have a character each

This game is great but telling me that there was an 11 year development cycle makes this game feel less creative. It is a fun game but super Mario bros 2 is still my favorite 2d Mario game.

You can turn off the flowers but I suggest you keep them on and turn off the subtitles. The subtitles are more annoying than the voices. Also the flowers can help you find secrets.

The spin jump badge always made me remember of the spin jump Mario had in Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
