- Thanks to Christian, Michel and Bernard for allowing to visit and film their farm operations. It was glad to meet you again after so many years. Your operations looks so professional.
Great video awesome combines
Glad you like them!
Combing corn was my favourite operation on our farm. John Deere 9500. Loved that machine!!
And that’s a beast of a machine. I drive one of those brand new in 93 or maybe 94.
Greetings from Spain, the fields you have there and the machinery are impressive.
I'd pay to drive an x9 hehehe in the meantime I'll have to make do with my w540.
a greeting !!!!
Need farm tours in which that could happen!!
Glad I found your yt-channel. Spend a few years close to fairview on a grainfarm. And actually did visit the lavoie dairy-farm 4 or 5 years ago.
Greetz from Germany!!
Welcome to the channel, Stephan. Hope to feature the dairy farm at some point.
Very Interesting, They must be in the Peace River area. I used to travel up there for Allis-Chalmers. In the last 60's
Yes Keith, these fields are near Marie-Reine.
@Keith Lawlor Hi am Cindy Smith, how are you? Hope we can be friends if that's okay with you

Great editing to
Always open for a collaboration @NorthernFarmer, just saying.
I'm curious if this farm will take on some of the new bigger 9RX models that John Deere just introduced? The 9RX830, 770, or 710 for pulling big air seeders? Would like to see their seeding operation.
That 92 was a great combine...now I know you ate a lot of dust..and not as quiet without cab...but prices is different
Wish I had your experience!!
Great farmers
Thanks for the video, amazing countryside. You said that it is 190km from one end of their land to the other. How many ha do the Maisonneuve's farm?
They farm all of the hectares.
@David Porter Hi am Cindy Smith, how are you? Hope we can be friends if that's okay with you

@@Northernupshots thanks 🙏
Nice and well done video..how many acres or hectares?
Sorry but I do not answer the acre question.
Super 92 was a good Combine
Did you operate one Josh?
@@Northernupshots No.. But my Dad did. My Grandfather had a Massey Dealership back then
@@joshpitts7256 I appreciate you sharing that, thank you.
Bonjour
Bons gamins!!
Beautiful crop of canola. How many bushels per acre?
I’m gonna guess that around 50-55 bushels per acre. I didn’t ask actually.
@Carl Falt Hi am Cindy Smith, how are you? Hope we can be friends if that's okay with you
@@Northernupshots that's an amazing crop!!! If you ever go over 40 that is a great crop
What country is this farm located in
Interesting question. The easy answer is Canada. The other can be the “Peace Country” as that is what they refer to this region in the NW part of the province of Alberta.
I used to drive for triple g trucking ,I know you guys know who they are
Sure do!
what size heders are they using 50 or 45
50...crazy, eh!
Ok thanks
08:32 Sunset House. As in east of Vallyview? And the other operation near what town?
Yes, that sunset house. Up to near Peace River in Marie Reine/Jean Côté hamlet.
How many acres (or hectares) do those boys get over?
All of them.
190 KM square? 6:24 mark
@@kk-pz8gn the furthest points they farm are 190 km apart.
@Jason Brown Hi am Cindy Smith, how are you? Hope we can be friends if that's okay with you
@@Northernupshots so do you know how many acres they farm?
Where is this farm located?
Main farm is in Guy, Alberta.
@agridome Hi am Cindy Smith, how are you? Hope we can be friends if that's okay with you
Great video ! Where is this farm ?
Guy, Alberta (pronounced more like ghee.)
Main farm is there.
I thought I was far from my 2 farms at 40 miles
Right!!
I would move there in a heart beat to work for a farm that size.
It's quite the professional operation!
wow, how many acres do you typically run?
No one has time for a morning jog! 😂😂😂
@@Northernupshots I see what you did there 🤣
Probably enough to put forty other families out of business.
@@brentreid7031 a person has to wonder how much does a farmer really have to farm to make a good living , and after that it is just who have the bigger one
I wanted to farm out of high school but my dad strongly suggested I get a university degree. That led me to a long career in the Petrochemical industry with stints in Fort Saskatchewan, Texas and Saudi Arabia.
@@Northernupshots Wow! That is pretty cool!
@@HuckThis1971 the funny thing is that I think there’s some awesome video of my worldly travels…they get maybe 100’s of views. Farming videos: 10’s of thousands of views!
@@Northernupshots I just love watching combines work and other machinery out in the fields. I'll be retiring in 4 years. I would love to help farmers out here.
Bonjour
Cela fait 2mois que je cherche sans succès 😐
Its nice when the government takes care of its farmers…not here in Africa….beautiful opperation👌🏻
DO NOT RELY ON THE GOVERNMENT!
France or Canada?
Western Canada.
I'm thinking Peace River region of Alberta.
@@davidcalvin4215 exactly!
@@Northernupshots not sure if it was your video or the other guy who put subtitles in because it was all in French. A specific town was mentioned and I looked it up to confirm my thoughts on the region.
BTW 190 kms from one end to the other, that's impressive.
Hi, can I work with you. I'm from Pakistan.
My neighbour's
my neighbour too. where u at?
@@kevendargy6506 they farm all around me in the sunset house area
Our tax dollars at work right there folks. 😢
??? Tax Dollars ??
@@Northernupshots millions in subsidies
@@mbailey12341 please explain more. Are you talking about using depreciation as an expense?
What is the zip code and name they operate under? I’ll show up exactly what I’m talking about but there are several operators with that last name.
@@mbailey12341 so you know we are in Canada and don’t have zip codes? I did hear we have trouble competing with US farmers because they get so many subsidies.
