There's something about your older videos that just draw people to watch, and in my case rewatch several times over. No background music, slower relaxing pace of narration and of course the wordsmithery. Anyway, I like the variation!
Yeah there was something so relaxing about watching the guru do his thing in the old videos, nowadays it’s all product pushing and too much talking. I enjoyed watching high end cars getting detailed, not sure why that stopped
@@ilikechickensausages2075 - Hello my Friend, thanks very much for thinking of me, it’s very kind of you. No, unfortunately nothing is coming out… and I think I will give up on the videos and the channel itself; at the moment I feel that we won’t make any more videos. 😊☹️
@@HypnotizinDetailz That's a shame but can understand it takes a lot of time and effort and if your not seeing any return on the hard work it can take it's toll. Anyway mate all the best for the future.
@@ilikechickensausages2075 - Exactly… Basically this is what happened - you explained/felt it quite well my Friend. Thanks very much for all your kind words, support and understanding during these years, since the beginning of my channel! 🤩🙏🏻 I might get the spark back, we never know, so I can’t say that for sure this is definitely the end… But I want to enjoy what I am doing, and making videos is unfortunately absolutely upstream for me now. If you are riding on UK roads a wet lube like Muc Off for chains is best, if you are off roading in dusty places a dry lube. Wd40 will attract more grime to it than a lube.
You may want to consider adding handlebar ends, keeps you hands from slipping off each end. Just make sure they are on nice and tight. I wrap mine with grippy anti-slip tape. Cheers!
I would say it's worth keeping. Other than aesthetically, dirt jumpers haven't really changed. A fork rebuild or a second hand modern set wouldn't go a miss though I reckon. Would really lighten up the bike a bit over the old boxers too
Looks good! A proper throw back especially with those Tioga tyres. I’d certainly get it back up working again. Especially as the evenings are getting longer and weather is getting nicer. Make you feel 16 again bombing around on it for half hour in the evening 🚴
Sweet P1 you got there! Had a P3 as my first bike and loved that thing. Also love the bomber on there, mustbe a fun ride! Also very interesting seeing you clean a bike, as it's part of my work as a bike mechanic.
@@CarCleaningGuru You did a better job than I ever do 😂 Just a small heads up on the cain lube, spare the cogs and just add it to the inner part of the chain. Makes it easier to clean next time round and works just as good.
First thoughts, how is he going to get twenty two minutes and twenty six seconds out of this. But you did, and I found it as enjoyable as the four wheel ones. Nice mid week treat 🤙
Nice video! I'd say keep it, EXCEPT for the fact it's undersized, that makes it really inefficient to ride, so might be time to pass it off to a local middle schooler 😉
Have you tried chrome north west products they mainly aim for folk who detail or look after trucks its mainly available in trucks tops or some motorway forecourts...its worth a review I use it on my car and truck they do the full range of cleaning stuff I recommend the pink
My Idea would be that you fix it up, and since it's to small for you hand it out to charity or some kid from the block who maybe could use it. Would be awesome to make a kid smile I think 👍🏻
Came up a treat,I find Automotive engine degreaser a better option for cleaning bike chains,Spray it on night before let it soak, as these dedicated sprays made for the job from these companies who produce numerous products tend to not really have the ooompfff to break down the old thick tar like oil on the chain :) Super nice bike though im always looking for little things to upgrade on my 2016 Cube Analog MTB 29" Er,Its VERY high mileage now though as i use it daily,Still going strong other than a few age related niggles (Bit like us all) haha :)
nice to meet you. I always look forward to it. The MTB car wash was so amazing. I own several MTBs. This video is the video I've been waiting for! Thank you for your wonderful videos.
If you want to start getting out regularly and racking up the miles, I'd invest your coin in a newer model. Current design and geometry is far superior to 90s stuff - particularly for us tall lads ! But would be great if you had space to keep that too, such a classic !
Nice job. I have to point out though that WD-40 is a fantastic water displacer but is not a good lubricant. A silicone based spray would be better, but better still, a good dedicated chain lube like fenwicks is my go to.
@Car Cleaning Guru Is the rear hub non-drive side set up for a brake disc? If so, I'd say that you should source a new (or gently used) brake setup for the rear, install the brake components and sell it on since it isn't the right size for you.
how do you store all the stuff you have; I would love to see a video of your tools and favorite tools that you use. I find it hard to store my car cleaning tools. tips would be awesome.
As you have a stand it’s easier to remove the wheels to clean them. I would also have taken the chain off and fitted a new one. Cringed a bit with the pressure washer, even on low setting.
I don’t think I’ll use the stand again it was a pain in the arse, prefer to just turn upside down and remove the wheels that way. Deffo needs a new chain but I can’t afford to spend too much on it for the sake of a video that will likely only generate £50 🤷♂️

I fitted cheap rear disc today and new headset bearings so no more rattle and can do skids again! Just needs brake line shortening and maybe a chain tensioner.
Who knew I secretly owned a P1?!
nice bike, needs a new chain though :)
Make do and mend. Always satisfying seeing new life breathed into old possessions!
Going to get a cheap rear brake and some headset bearings from the bike shop tomorrow then go for a ride 😎.

I also had a P1, just not sure if it was the same year. also putting a dual crown fork on a dirt jump frame is like swapping a V12 into a ford fiesta

Always liked Cannondales. Saw Missy Giove at ‘Bike 98’ exhibiting her pro knobbles.
That's the cleanest hardtail in the woods no doubt..😎👍

That’s actually a pretty sweet bike. It’s in great condition so shouldn’t be at the back of the shed ! 🤣🤣😝✌️
Especially with dressed tyres!

I also never ride while unlubed, dry and crusty Good tip!

From my experience. When you get old you will wish you kept it.
True. I’ll either keep it if I have space or give it away if/when I buy a new one.
Be careful with pointing the pressure washer at bearings
Half of them had already gone from the headset here but yeh on a newer or more well kept bike take it easy.
Nice job. I have to point out though that WD-40 is a fantastic water displacer but is not a good lubricant. A silicone based spray would be better, but better still, a good dedicated chain lube like fenwicks is my go to.
No this was a dedicated chain lube made by them but for motorcycles so it’s all thick and sticky.
@@CarCleaningGuru ahhh. Happy days. All I clocked was the WD-40 😂
Once you'd finished and from over 5 feet away it looked brand new I reckon :)
RIP all those bearings 😅
Yeah, gotta make sure you clean and scrub your knobbles properly for maximum performance going uphill and downhill.
Exactly.
About time🎉

Shitty little utility room 🤷♂️. In terms of storage of individual bits in what bags etc, I’ve done a couple of vids in this in the past.

Yes for a newer or more well kept bike although PPF is probably a better choice overall.
