He sealed Sakunaoni by buried his body parts under the mountains and placed his katana in a shrine as a lock. While in Ultraman Cosmos, an alternate Kagetatsu buried Renki underground and placed a shrine as a lock.
Well, he lived during the period of samurai (probably more than 500 years). So, it's does make sense for him to become a sword master. Though he's a giant demon
