    My dad always had a bilimbi tree for my mom to cook with the fruits. She’d use it in place of limes for shrimp or fish dishes. We call it piyas though. And we never eat it raw like that. Lol!

    The tropics are incredible, your head must be spinning with all the plants and trees you can see and grow.

      That was a complete oversight on my part. I'm going to have to fix that in a future film.

    Whe can I get one of these trees?

    • @davidthegood
      @davidthegood  5 лет назад +2

      Try a fruit tree nursery. A lot of nurserymen have connections for rare fruit trees.

      So long as you don't crush one, they're harmless. If you mess with one, though, they eject an acid that causes blisters. Heh.

    almost 4 years later I believe your idea of grafting both the bilimbi and star fruit together would give you the best hybrid fruit-- wrong my dude, bilimbi is so sour and acidic it cuts away on your gum... star fruit is very sweet when it's in those good years, if it ever works, I'd say the hybrid fruit will become a very sour star fruit or a less acidic bilimbi.... tell me how it turns out tho lol
