I started my trip from Mumbai to Johannesburg by taking etihad airways, my layover in Abu dhabi was for 20 hours, and i also had free 48 hour Abu Dhabi transit visa which i took free from Etihad website. I have explained all process in this video. I have also made separate video which shows how you can take south africa visa for indians.
I am also sharing my immigration experience after reaching South Africa and questions that were asked. Also, i shared if yellow fever certificate is required to board flight from India to Africa or not.
In this video, i also explained how you can get cheap flight tickets from India to South africa. Also there was no rtpcr test required, as i was having fully vaccinated certificate, which is only requirement of south africa.

Mumbai airport ke Bahar hi yellow fever hospital hain. Mumbai has lot of African connections due to the Gujarati community there. Us hospital mein yellow fever vaccine le sakte ho
Great...I think after taking yellow vaccine they need wait of 10 days..
But ekbar mil jaye 10 yrs valid. Got my during Kenya trip 2013. Not Africa also south america also need YELLOW fever
It's only on Friday and Wednesday .. and u need to take 14 days prior travelling

Do we need to show rtpcr either at mumbai airport or abu dhabi during lay over. I am travelling to autria nxt week so need to know this.
If vaccinated, then no need of rtpcr...but contact your airline once to confirm...
If I have a layover time of 1.5 hours in Kenya without exiting the airport while going from mumbai to cape town, will I require a yellow fever certificate?

You have to enter sone address in UAE when you apply for transit visa...

How long it takes to get study visa of SA ....hv u any idea Sir?
Hello, my flight from India to Boston is on 24th. I have two stops in between- Abu dhabi (2hrs layover) and Rome (4hrs layover). From Delhi to Abu dhabi, I have indigo airlines; and from there I am expected to do self-transfer for Abu Dhabi to Rome (ITA airlines operated by Etihads). I tried to apply for 48hrs transit visa since I have to go to terminal 3 from terminal 2 at Abu Dhabi. But, My application was rejected. I mentioned Abu dhabi airport as UAE Visit place!! How to get transit visa successfully?
Contact private like akbar travels or musafir for transit visa for a fee..
And may be your free transit visa was declined by Etihad because layover was less than 8 hours...normally their system does not provide transit visa if layover less than 8 hours...
@@AerySpace thanks for answering. But, I have to do self transfer after reaching ABU DHABI for ROME!! That requires running from T2 to T3, so I guess, for changing terminals- transit visa is required. Time is limited, so I just want clarity on this. I have wasted over a week in this- by contacting airlines, ticket booking agency and of course googling/youtubing every possible content.
First there is free inter shuttle between terminals that will transfer you, so don't worry on that..
Second you are going to US means you have US visa which also entitles you to get visa on arrival for a fee of around 120 AED...
I would also suggest you to contact Etihad support once on all this to clarify...

You need to put any UAE address ( hotel or hostel) for applying 48 hour transit visa...

Yes sure...you can use it while coming to India also...infact passing through abudhabi, you can use it for anywhere...
