Poojai is an upcoming Tamil action-masala film directed by Hari and produced by Vishal. The film features Vishal himself and Shruti Haasan in the leading roles, while Sathyaraj, Raadhika Sarathkumar and Mukesh Tiwari play other pivotal roles in an ensemble cast.
Director is humble only.. I see ppl are commenting bad about audition.. But it's their passion so they go for it.. Y to post so. Bad comments.

Just started watching the video. The way he treats the ladies itself shows that he is a pakka gentleman.
From this video, the director seems to be such a humble gentleman! Don't know why so many people are spreading hatred comments for this!
That's what I realised too. I'm not a fan of Hari or whatsoever. This is an audition filled with so many 'hopefuls'. Hari was being casual. He was respectful towards the elderly by asking them to sit down and greeting others. He even didn't like that woman falling at his feet (3:15) and I don't see a reason for an older woman or anyone else to get Hari's blessings! Audition is like a 'job interview'. Does anyone fall at the hiring manager's feet for blessings? This act seemed so desperate by that lady. Obviously, looking from Hari's viewpoint, he (or anyone for that matter) would feel irritated if he had to deal with so many desperate talents, who were stubborn and can't seem to take a 'no' for an answer. If these people felt they were humiliated, then they should have stayed at home rather than dictate how directors and producers ought to behave. My guess is that the ones who were making nasty remarks about Hari could be those who dislike him or those who didn't get any role or those who just want to find fault with him. The only thing I would find fault is how disorganized and messy the audition was.

please don't try cinema as a full time job.do some work,earn and in ur free time , work hard and try a chance.we know only Siva Karthikeyan, vijay sethupathy as success stories,but there r more than 1 crore people who have lose their age in cinemas.in this time,a film will not even run for 10 days, so it is very tough to go through.earn and in ur side, search for films .these many people attended de audition, do we know any of these faces acted in poojai. ?if u have money, u can go directly to all directors and give money and act.they will also train u if u don't know to act .but u should give money.please don't loose ur age, future, family life , family .if u go without money,they will ill treat u like buying cigarettes, going to shops etc.I am not discouraging you but I have seen many who have lost life and I know only a handful of persons succeeded in films.

Hari is behaving like a rowdy.. If Surya come he give respect... What a director.... Try to talk good with people... Oly few movies.. But doing like big Hollywood director..
From my acting experiences, what I can see is that the audition held seems to be very disorganised. Usually talents are expected to act out scenes or do improvised acting to showcase their acting abilities, and those shortlisted would move on to the next round(s), if any. But there were no cameras around to record the talents' auditions except that Hari shortlists few talents based on 'looks and character-fit' to get headshot photos but that doesn't mean all were selected too. Hari was casual, wanted to know the people and whether they had any acting experiences. There was no privacy for the talents and this would further stress out the nervous ones. Hari has already confirmed all the main (Vishal and Sruthi) and the supporting casts. Why Vishal? Look who the movie's producer is and you'll know the answer. The conclusion is 'money talks'! It's also 'who you know' rather than 'what you know'.
Therefore, this audition is solely for 'bit' and background extra' roles maybe for the village, roadside and shopping mall crowd scenes. I don't remember seeing any of these talents in the movie. Many are excited to enter Kollywood but sad to see those who are desperate (3:15 - the older lady who almost fell at Hari's feet and 26:45 the guy slouching to 'show' respect but was told off by Hari probably because he has seen all kinds of people in his career - do you remember seeing them in the movie even after doing all these acts?) thinking by getting into the directors' good books would land them a role but not necessarily true. Just be yourself and have self-respect, pride and dignity. These directors and producers know there are thousands and thousands of desperate individuals wanting fame and money so would do anything to enter the industry. Don't be shocked if the producers tell you they'd give you an opportunity to act IF you paid them. So if you have money to splurge just to act in a movie, then it's your decision but bear in mind you may not be paid a salary. Just have fun at an audition and if you get the role, that's good. If you don't, just take it as a learning experience and move on.

Not necessarily true. Even if you have acting experiences, you may not be suitable for the role based on the appearances and other factors. I'm an actor in another country and when I tell casting personnel, directors and producers I have acting experiences, they'd want to see my showreels to ensure I'm telling the truth so they can watch my performances to see if I'm shortlisted or selected for the role. Every audition is a different experience. Hari was nice enough to believe all these people who said they have acting experiences. But no one showed their acting CVs and showreels so they could be telling the truth or could be lieing. If you don't have acting experiences but can stand out from the rest of the talents during auditions, then it'd be highly possible for you to get the role.

Exactly because Hari has already selected and confirmed the main and supporting roles. This so-called audition is most probably an extra role like being part of a crowd such as roadside crowd, customers at shopping malls and cafes, guests at weddings, bus passengers, etc. I'm not sure if these people who came for audition even knew what roles they were auditioning for!
