- Vladimir Putin has addressed thousands of people in Moscow's Red Square, after claiming a landslide election win.
President Vladimir Putin kept his remarks in the Russian capital uncharacteristically short, hailing the 10th anniversary of the annexation of Crimea and the more recent seizure of areas in the south and east of Ukraine.
As a reminder, Russia's occupation of Ukrainian territory is illegal under international law and is not recognised by the vast majority of nations.
On Sunday, Vladimir Putin won a fifth term as Russian president by a landslide of 87%.

I watched red-square, and my take after seeing the people singing their national anthem are people who have been inspired and confident who only a few years ago may have thought and no doubt some did that everything they had was from goodness of the west now realize it was not so but more to do with the team that led them and so came out in their droves to show their support for the team its not a one man band as some would have you believe
