    hi sir , im a bit confused on the lone pair in the concept of OH- like i dont get why theres 2 for oxygen ? thank you so much !!

      Oxygen has 6 electrons in its outer shell. In R-OH, one electron is involved in the O-H bond and one electron is involved in the R-O bond. That leaves four electrons not involved in bonding i.e. 2 pairs unbonded.
