BOSTEEL CALVING GATE FULL REVIEW

In today's episode of farming life at la forge, Dad has installed the Bosteel calving gate equiped with a backing bar. He will go over everything that the gate can be used for, show any adjustments he made and point out what he likes or doesn't like about the calving gate kit.

Declan - great walk through the calving gate. I hope you are on commission as I’m sure he will have orders after seeing this video. I am also pleased as it is another step forward to keeping you (all) safe. It has been drought conditions here and grass on our chalk hills was getting critical, but showers today to keep the dust down - could do with a weeks rain really.

Some job! Bought the earlier model of the same gate a few years ago, fantastic job and major safety improvement.
We put the chain on the top incase the cow goes down.
The stopper you put on the sliding part move it up to the second bar it won't interfere with the backing bar then.

Usually shorter gates here, as dad explained it's the length and how well it's made that makes this gate better and safer to use :)
