I heard about a rather wealthy gentleman who decided to sell EVERYTHING he owned, including his home( not sure about a vehicle). He said he felt like the weight of the world was off his shoulders. I believe he used the money to travel and enjoy his life. I was envious
I love how these small changes make a huge impact! The 5-5 rule and the 'don’t put it down, put it away' habit are simple but so effective. It’s amazing how much calmer and more organized my space feels by just giving everything a designated spot and tidying as I go. Definitely going to try out a family calendar too!
Great video. I don't even have junk mail coming through my letter box. I've eliminated that problem by getting a "No junk mail or flyers please" sticker. I also don't need an in-tray/inbox since all letters that come through are immediately put on the tables of people who need to look at them - usually my husband 😅
I love to read more than anything else, and as a result, I ended up with a library of over 2,000 books. When I ended up downsizing my house, I had a new home with an open floor plan and very little room for bookshelves and ended up having to get rid of almost all of my books. I made the difficult decision to switch to e-books as I only cared for the content of my books and had always been indifferent as to whether it was in a shabby paperback or a shiny new hardback format. I also felt that this decision would be better for the environment and would give me more flexibility in my living arrangements. As I could afford it, I gradually bought e-book versions of my favorite books if they were available and only purchased the e-book versions of new books. I now own over 3,300 books in electronic format and have the pleasure of being able to carry my entire library with me when I go anywhere as long as I have my phone or iPad. (I used to have to take up valuable luggage space when traveling to have enough reading material to last me during a trip.). My house has considerably less dust and clutter, and my walls are no longer taken up with bookshelves. I still have one 7 foot bookshelf filled with books that are out of print or not available in e-format, but I have now become completely enthralled with the options available to me when reading with the Kindle app. The screen is backlit so I no longer require a light to read by, making it possible to read in a dark room in night mode (black screen with white letters). I can easily adjust the font size so I do not require reading glasses, and I save money since newly released e-books from my favorite authors cost considerably less than their hardback versions. The e-book versions are also much better for the environment as they do not require trees to be cut down for paper or use printing inks that release harmful VOCs into the air. At first I mourned for the loss of my book collection but now feel much lighter knowing that I no longer have to take into account the housing of my library.
Your content is so high quality - I totally thought it was a channel with 100k+ subscribers (although I'm sure you will get there!). Love the minimalism journey - very inspiring. On a sidenote went to Suceava recently and had a great time - I'm sure I will go back to Romania again from the UK!
Hi😊 I love your videos, you give me great advices for my lifestyle. Thank you for your time! I am also from Romania. I saw your pictures in background! Great citys to choose!
You cannot clean if things are in the way. Each evening have a five minute pick up time for the family. Before you go to bed collect the rest of the clutter in a laundry basket. Dump the basket in a designated BOX and keep it somewhere out of the way like the garage or laundry room or basement. If something is missing send the family to the BOX. They will soon learn that if it’s not put away it will be in the BOX. Blessing is that you wake up to an uncluttered home. Also, when it’s time (Saturday morning?) for your child to clean up their room, do it with them when they are young and slowly pull away. When they say they are done go in with your basket and pick up the rest and dump it in the BOX. No fighting, just simply say “Did you look in the BOX?” You will soon find out what is important to them and eventually donate the rest!

I was pleasantly surprised to see the 2 Romanian city frames around the 9:14 minute mark! Romania is such a beautiful country!
