On a side note, Jim is from my hometown and I worked with his sister for a couple of years. We would talk about bands all the time and she mentioned her brother was in a band. She never told me he is the F***ing bassist of my favorte Group.

Ive been a fan since the very beginning, TGI has been my favorite metal band since i was about 13/14, people are going to bitch about anything, if a band changes their sound, fans bitch, if they do the exact same thing album after album, fans will bitch about that too. You cant be in a band for over a decade and not change and this kind of music will help them grow to a wider audience thus making them more money, which is great. TGI deserves to have some mainstream success. Its not like their new music is bad, every song theyve put out so far, earn it, split, this song, theyre good songs. Its just different, still slaps IMO. These guys are here to stay. I slept on them forever (besides dark horse back in the day) I'm just glad to hear they are indeed still releasing bangers. I seen them live 2 years ago and they have been growing on me. You've gained a fan for life.
Not gonna lie. I’m 35 and been listening to metal, hardcore/metalcore since I was 14. In college, these guys were big and I just never gave them the attention they deserved, other than listening to a select few songs (like Between the Lines, Engine 45, etc…their big tracks). As a drummer, I was a big fan of Andrew (their drummer) from his time with For the Fallen Dreams…a band I LOVED in the 2008-2014 timeframe (still listen to their old stuff). Anyway, re-discovered TGI in my early 30s and I’m obsessed with every album and all the new bangers they’re putting out. Love their redemption story after the accident. I think “Aftermath” is what really drew me back to them. And the fact Andrew is drumming with one leg is ridiculous. All respect. Hope these dudes are rocking well into their 50s, if not longer.

I'd always thought that if TGI went sound it'd sound like Pennywise, Lagwagon, Ignite, NOFX, Rise Against. Not like something from a 00s Spiderman movie. But just like "Earn it" it'll grow on me.
