Bamm Bamm and Pebbles grew up to be teenagers on the spinoff series, The Pebbles and Bamm Bamm show and then adults on the Flintstone movie, l Yabba Dabba Doo
Given the time spot they probably got a slightly bigger budget compared to the Saturday Morning shows. Scooby Goes Hollywood is another example of more smoother animation compared to the series.
This is the first Flintstones production where Fred wasn't voiced by Alan Reed, the original voice actor. He died that same year, and the role was taken over by Henry Corden, who'd already been providing Freds singing voice for the '66 movie.
Corden also did Fred’s voice at length in many of the Hanna-Barbera Records releases prior to 1977, but I think his first time doing Fred in animation was in interstitials for the syndicated series “Fred Flintstone and Friends” which premiered earlier that year.
I been watching the Flintstones ever since I was about 9 yrs. old. I'm 71 now. I seen them and more when I was a kid in the 60s and part of the 70s. Back then though my favorite sitcom was the little Rascals. They were hillarious.
Grew up watching Flintstones and Scooby doo , Jetsons oh what a child hood I had Saturday morning cartoons . Nothing like the junk that is on tv today for kids .
This animation resembles the 90s cartoons. But it's shocking it was made in 1977. This was made ahead of its time. I have the feeling the animators must invested a lot of money for this animation style back then.
"Hey, Fred, Mr. Slate's waitin' to see you in his office!" "Mr. Slate? Me?" "Don't worry, Fred, I'll help you look for another job...after the holidays! Ha ha ha ha ha!"
Montreal, Quebec native Henry Corden as Fred Flintstone, after succeeding Alan Reed in that role. Henry's Fred was more folksy with Canadian rasp and was partly based on Archie Bunker. Speaking of which, I'm still waiting for Warner Media to release onto DVD the latter episodes of the Flintstones franchise with Henry as Fred!!!
So many questions... I'll go with the fan theory that "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons" take place at the same time on the same post-apocalyptic Earth, just at different altitudes.
Fred: "Thanks, Barney. See you later!" Barney: "Just be good today, Fred. Remember, Santa comes tonight, and he knows who's been naughty and who's been nice! Ha ha ha ha!" Fred: "He knows who's been naughty who's been nice! Oh, boy!"
Wilma: "Come on in. Fred's decorating the tree." (CRASH) Betty: "Oh, it is a beautiful tree." Barney: "Yeah, especially that fat little ornament! Ha ha ha!" Fred: "Very funny, Barney! Now, stop with the jokes and get me down!" Barney: "Okay, Fred, okay. Don't forget your Christmas sprit!" Fred: "Oh, sure! Ho ho ho!"
Like how he’s paying homage to “Ralph Kramden” from The Honeymooners. There’s 5 sentences in a row, ABSOLUTELY VERBATIM. When Ralph goes in to see his boss, on the 2ns scene of their Pilot episode.

My childhood favorite. I never missed The Flintstones ...
I'm 65 and feel like a kid all over again watching it👏💯❤️👍
Same, I'm 34 & my childhood in the 90s watching is way better than what people are watching nowadays.
I love the flinstones.❤
Same here
Me too 🎁🎄🎄☃️❤️
Wow, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm FINALLY started growing. And talking!
😂
Until the Flintstones Christmas Carol later on when they shrank back down 😂

The best Christmas special the Flintstones made.
I prefer the first one from 1964. I wish the writers and producers kept Hoppy around as Bamm-Bamm was growing up.
Great memories! Happy Holidays.
What a grand Christmas Special
This is one of my top 20 favorite Christmas specials.
For A 70's TV special, the animators did A surprisingly good job here. This is almost on par with Hanna-Barbers'a output from the early 90's.
Given the time spot they probably got a slightly bigger budget compared to the Saturday Morning shows. Scooby Goes Hollywood is another example of more smoother animation compared to the series.
Fred: Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Huh older is better
This is not as good as the og show
Most of the stuff put out in the 70’s was done far superior to what was put out in the 90’s to today.
