  • Before there was Fat Joe, Big Pun, and Bad Bunny, Powerule from Leftovers was one of the first Latino MCs in Hip Hop.
    Powerule and Coach PR sit down to discuss growing up in Shadyville, Queens. Powerule talks about riding the bus with LL Cool J coming back from Jamaica Ave many times. Also artist both moving out to Queens or visiting.
    Powerule discuss his first time meeting that Fat Boys and Salt N Pepa while he was working at Dr. Jays on Main St in Flushing. He tells us the story of an incident of a fight breaking out at Dr. Jays where he helped the Fat Boys in a fight.
    Power also discusses the origins of the name The Leftovers. He discusses being inspired by Public Enemy leading to finally meeting the group and getting a co-sign from Chuck D.
